Greenberg & Jackson Cpas

Darren at this firm is great to work with. I gave him a tax return about two weeks before the final tax deadline and within a few days he had it done. Other accountants had turned me away, yet I know this firm and Darren have tons of other clients.
He is very patient in answering questions, explaining things, and not acting snooty to people who don’t have everything together.
Bonus: compared to five other accountants I called, they have good prices! Not so cheap to make one worry about quality, but not expensive compared to the others.

Prior to using Greenberg & Jackson my husband and I had a horrible experience with a guy in NY who was recommended by a couple of friends. We used him a few years until we noticed some questionable info on one of our returns. He had falsified my income on a side business to get us a return and I did not feel comfortable sending it in. It took forever to get ahold of the guy (so long in fact that we had to file for an extension) and he was a total jackass when we did, justifying his unethical practices to us and getting angry when we refused to file the return until he changed the numbers for us. Needless to say, that was the last year we used him.
For the past 5 years we’ve been using Darren Bloch at Greenberg & Jackson. Darren is a very sweet, good-​natured guy who obviously loves people, enjoys his profession, and has integrity. He keeps it honest and he does a great job.
Unfortunately, the last time my husband and I were there we waited an hour although we had an appointment. It turned out that it had been a scheduling snafu and he didn’t realize that we had been waiting but I felt that someone should have informed him that we were there. Also I thought that the professional thing to do would have been to give us a discount after wasting an hour of mine and my husbands time (I imagine we would have been charged if we had wasted an hour of his time.)
Nonetheless, they still have always done a good job and I would happily recommend them to any of my friends or family. I’m giving them 4 out of 5 stars seeing that I had 4 out of 5 satisfactory experiences.
