I haven’t been to a Sizzlers in at least 3 years. The last time I’ve gone it wasn’t a very pleasant experience. The food was just ok, service slow and environment needed improvement. However, a friend wanted to have dinner at the Eagle Rock location, so I agreed to go. To my surprise so many changes were made. The salad bar was excellent, my steak was cooked perfectly and the service was great. I would go have dinner there again and recommend my friends to as well. I only hope that all locations made the same changes that Eagle Rock did.

This sizzler totally sucks, they never get my order right. I don’t know why they even ask how you want that teeny weeny piece of meat since they’re going to go ahead n over cook it:-/ and that Carlton look alike at register is just so unfriendly, no customer service skills whatsoever! The sizzler in Los Feliz is way better plus employees there are nice!

Anytime that I visit a Sizzler it’s usually in the San Fernando Valley, but whenever I head out to Alhambra on the drive back me and my cousin usually get dinner here since its on the way back. Overall it’s kinda hidden but visible, with great parking. The very lovely and generous young lady by the name of Chelsea has helped us the past couple of times that we’ve gone, great service all around. FOOD: We usually always end up getting the salad bar which allows you to get anything in the buffet section, from Spaghetti, Meatballs, Fries, and you could build your own tacos with different meats. The nachos are great but the chicken is what keeps me coming back, and I rarely ever eat chicken. They are known for the FREE Garlic Cheese Bread that you are allowed to order once you sit down, it’s delicious along with the clam chowder. There’s also a huge amount of vegetables and fruits if your into salads. The Ice cream section is awesome, just wish they had the little ice cream breads like they do in other locations oh and please add Strawberry Syrup to the Ice Cream section, it would make wonders! Keep up the great work, will be visiting soon.

Service was okay. The waiter was attentive and asked if we needed anything. Steak was kind of salty for me & baked potato had no flavor.

If I don’t have the time to drive to Soupplantation or to deal with the crowds and parking issue, this Sizzler is the perfect place. It’s conveniently located near the Eagle Rock Plaza, and has a nice sized salad bar and pasta bar. That’s enough for me. Their salad/past bar has chicken wings, spaghetti, taco station, good enough for a meal. My favorite part of the salad/pasta bar asides from the chicken wings is the clam chowder soup. Be sure to ask for your grilled cheese bread from the server.

Worst place to eat, I arrived one time and from the parking lot to the front door I turned back and went home. There was an awful stench that made me loose my appetite. So I decided to give it a chance, I walked in on a different day and the stench from their bathroom was overwhelming. Dirty place in my opinion. Food was bad as well, the cooks don’t know what medium well is if it hit them in the face.

I came here for dinner tonight. Service was okay. Food was pretty good! I ordered a steak, medium. I wouldn’t come here regularly because for the price I could of gone to a more up scale steak house, but I’m not complaining. I had a good time and my dinner was good.

I don’t know why I keep going to these! Maybe because I rememebr way back when they were actually a decent place to eat. There’s a reason why Sizzlers are a dying breed. I ordered the Malibu chicken plate with a baked potato and a side salad. I was looking forward to the chicken noodle soup that was on their wall menu, when you walk in. The salad was all pre packaged or canned things. Very few items, if any, were fresh and there was NO chicken noodle soup! BIGBIGHUGE disappointment! My Malibu chicken plate were two processed previously frozen patties. The only good thing was my baked potato, mind you, I had to send it back because I asked for only butter and got the works instead. I can tell you one positive thing though, My German Shepherd loved the frozen processed patties! Oh, and the employees were really nice. So, if you want to go for the friendly atmosphere and don’t particularly care how bad the food is, then this is the place for YOU!

Love love love it here ;) The servers are great, and easy on the eyes! The food is delicious and very reasonable. Surprisingly the music they play is a very good selection. For the price and type of restaurant chain it is I have zero complaints!

Slow service, dirty tables, chairs and bathrooms & our food took over 30minutes after ordering. Food was mediocre.

Sizzler is one of those places that you don’t expect to be that good. You expect average and that’s what you get. This place itself is kind of stale but the food is as much as you assume going in. Nothing special.

My bad — I didn’t look at the Unilocal reviews before eating here. That was REALLY dumb on my part. First tip-off should have been the lack of people dining here in the early evening on a Saturday. Lack of crowds at that hour should tell you something. It told me to run, but I didn’t listen. Cashier was obviously bored and indifferent. Couldn’t make change, even with help from the cash register. With my wallet $ 28.00 lighter, I went in search of a table — a CLEAN table. Never found one. Apparently, the employees just remove the dirty dishes, but fail to wipe the tables clean. Everyone I tried was sticky. Service was practically non-existent. I began with a plated side salad. It had to be a couple of days old and the bleu cheese dressing was watery and bland. The waiter said he would be right up with the cheese toast, which he wasn’t. I waited over 10 minutes to get my ONE drink refill and the waiter got it wrong. Finally, my steak entrée and cheese toast arrived — COLD. The steak was loaded with gristle as well as overcooked, too. Like one reviewer said, it’s a Sizzler after all. If you want to throw your hard-earned money away on a less than mediocre meal, this is the place. The lower your expectations, the more you’ll be satisfied. This establishment has seen me for the last time.

I ordered the endless shrimp with steaks and salad bar. The steak was cooked fine but the shrimp was overcooked. The salad bar was well stocked but the chicken wings were dry and not hot. The waiters were quick to change plates and refill drinks and they are hard working here. I recommend just ordering the value dinners since shrimp is not good here.

I come here for the salad bar and the salad bar only. I know if I order anything else, I may be disappointed… lol. yes, I have low standards, but it’s convenient, simple, and inexpensive. Oh and the cheese toast is the best. The waitress who always serves me is super nice. The cashier girl might need some training, but I can see that she tries her best.

There was absolutely no problem with the food. The cheddar broccoli soup was very cheesy and tasty for my taste buds. The reason I gave it three stars(maybe I should give two) was the cashier at the beginning. Her name was DIANA. She looked about 5’4, had colored eyes. She was abhorring to say the least. She just seemed SO uninterested to ring me up. Never ONCE gave any eye contact. What kind of customer service is that? Like if I was a burden to her. She seemed bothered that I didn’t tip either. Like, excuse me? You need to earn your tip, not expect it. She was terrible. The male staff were all friendly however. Quick with refilling water and bringing new plates to the table. The management needs to be aware of their uninterested female employee.

I really wanted to like this particular Sizzler since they are a dying breed in the Southern California area. However, there are many things working against this restaurant. When I initially tried to find parking, I was confused by the entrance of the lot. It appears to be two parking lots, but in reality, it is one large parking lot with one way entrance and exit. Perhaps they could do a better job of marking the entrance and exit. Once I entered into this store, there was a line to enter Sizzler which was encouraging. The people in front of me were retirees so they let me through because I had a short lunch break. When I got to the cash register, I ordered a lunch special which consisted of a 6 oz steak and a side order. The side order could be mashed potatoes, french fries, etc. Also, it comes with Sizzler’s cheesy bread which is always a plus. For two dollars more, you can get a plated salad. In the past, a plated salad meant they gave you a dish and you can get the salad yourself. At this location, they have the salad already prepared with saran wrap over it. I was disgusted when I saw the salad. It would be my preference to actually get the salad at the salad bar instead of getting a refrigerated salad. If I wanted a refrigerated salad, I could go to Jack in the Box for a fraction of the cost. When I got to my table, I kindly asked my waitress to change the plated salad for the additional unlimited salad bar. At least the waitress was kind. I knew that to add the unlimited salad bar to the lunch special for 5.49 but instead they tried to charge me for a full salad bar. I was disappointed to see that but they fixed it. In terms of my 6oz steak, I ordered it medium rare. Unfortunately, I got it medium well. It wasn’t very good at all. The highlight of my meal was the cheesy bread. The salad bar was not very well maintained. In fact, it looked like it was lacking food at times. I had the clam chowder and the chicken noodle soup. The soups were not very good either. I could taste the mounds of salt added to these soups. For the price that I paid for my meal, I could have gotten a much better meal somewhere else.

I work here and even though I’ve never eaten at a Sizzlers before I’ve gotten hired, I believe the meals here are very well done.

Mom & Dad says Sizzler… …so Sizzler it is. It’s one of those Saturday’s where all I want to do is to hang-out with my folks, called them a few days ahead and made an «appointment» so that we could at least have lunch. Got to Sizzler just before noon, the place is not its usual busy buzzing afternoon(I guess everyone slept in? *grin) Mom, Dad and my godfather studied the menu board intently like they have an upcoming S.A.T exam until they said«We will have the Jumbo shrimp, Medium Tri-tip steak and the Ultimate Shrimp platter… WITH Everything» I looked at the menu board to see what they were getting, it all looked very appetizing(Good marketing strategy those picture menu boards are!), I ordered the big combo#1(it really looked good) which I later found out that it’s a little too big for me(my eyes are sure bigger than my stomach lol) Of course after all the chit-chats and my Dad’s many interesting stories, I asked them how’s their food? Mom without any hesitation said«they over battered the jumbo shrimp but my baked potatoes are good» My dad’s opinion of the jumbo shrimp was pretty much the same, he liked the regular deep fried shrimp served over rice though, and he also enjoyed the fries hence him stealing a few from my plate from time to time haha. The Tri-tip steak got good ratings from my godfather, «perfectly done!» and so as his baked taters(with sour cream, butter and chives) My big Combo #1 was pretty good, the steak was properly prepared medium rare, the riblets was very flavorful but the shrimp was abysmal and so was the sautéed mushroom which seem to have bathe in salt. So to rate the food, it was pretty good even though inconsistent especially the deep fried shrimp and sautéed mushrooms, The staff was very nice, the place; clean and well tended, the salad bar was well replenished, the soup selection; good and always full. With a few minor tweaks in food preparation and for a casual weekend with the folks, I would say this place is pretty good. Enjoy!
