Delightful nursery for breadth of quality and well maintained perennials, shrubs and annuals which are locally grown. The benefit of that, of course, is you can be certain the plant materials are acclimatized to the Treasure Valley climate. Prices are very fair and they offer a customer rewards program. The women who work here(there may be men too but not on our visits) are very friendly and immensely helpful. I think garden consulting may also be part of their service mix. We discovered this nursery when we saw their tag on some lovely sedum plants being sold at another nursery in Boise. We learned Old Valley sells as wholesaler to other retailers as well as having their own retail nursery to visit. We were pretty happy about finding half a dozen lovely Viburnum Onondaga ‘Sargentii’ to help screen fences along each side of our home. Our landscaper was pretty happy about the find too. Our neighbors will be even happier when these lovely plants bloom in spring and color up in fall. We look forward to more purchases here even though accessibility for me means my time frame to use it is limited. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Ample amount in a big gravel lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: The nursery paths are deep, loose gravel. I have MS and difficulty walking even with help and this was difficult for me to traverse. It would be impossible for someone in a wheelchair. As side note, the most accessible surfacing nurseries in the area seem to be Edwards Greenhouse and also Far West. 3) EVENTHEIRSIGNISSPECIAL: Shel Siverstein ditties grace both the«open» and«closed» side of their sandwich board sign. That alone tells you these are special people!
