Solid three stars. I’ve been going here for years. Good for the weekly staple products. Pros: 1. great variety of bakery, dairy, deli, pantry, drink and freezer items. 2. Very clean place including bathrooms. 3. Citizens bank open late and on Sunday’s 4. Customers ain’t pretentious d-bags like wegmans 5. Never really very busy Cons: 1. produce is hit or miss. Berries are usually a miss 2. Meat section is average. 3. Prices are higher that wegmans. But wegmans doesn’t have the variety. 4. Cashier quality is hit or miss. They could be faster. Some are extremely slow. 5. Avoid the prepared foods.

I wrote a review about 2 weeks ago and it seems to have disappeared. Wondering how that happened… anyway I’ll put it this way. If there was a Wegmans close by that would be my choice. Being a disabled Senior and in a wheelchair, which is my transportation(no transportation for seniors or disabled here other than to the doctor) to Tops, and Tops being ¼ mile away, is the only reason I shop here. I won’t repeat what I said about it in the 1st review but will let the 1 star say it all.

Very good location. Right at the corner of North French and Transit. Easy to shop around in here. Huge selection. Love coming here!

This location continues to have the worst produce. I worked in produce and know all the tricks, where they order from, what to look for, what to pull as shrink, etc. They just can’t get it right at this location. Produce is always old, rubbery, bruised, rotten, and undesirable. Everything else here is fine(meats, bread, groceries). If you want produce take the short drive to Hopkins and Klein, and visit Dash’s. Perhaps a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Does not have everything you want. Is very pricy compared to Wegmans. Wegmans do carry better meats fruits and vegetables. Workers are not very friendly. Need multicultural to work at this location. Look at you funny when you use coupons. Your coupons are checked at least 3 times to make sure its the right coupon. Managers are arrogant. Many times had to return cold cuts because it gets bad the next day. The steaks meats are always black in color. Never anyone at the seafood dept or bakery dept. Always have to wait for at least 10−15mins for someone. Very poor customer service. No cell phone service in this store. Rude people at the deli counter This store defiantly needs a make over from the staff to the foods. Gas points are dam scam. The hot foods are on display for days. This store needs to be investigated.

Everyone in this store looks like they want sweet release from life. It’s depressing. And I swear to Jeebus that Artie Lang sliced my cold cuts today. The ham even had a nice shaved bone shard running through it. Won’t even feed that crap to the dogs. I never shop here by choice. But a family member recently left the store without a bag of carrots that had been paid for. So I went to get the carrots, and ended up getting a few things. There is no cell phone service in this store, which may be mostly a first world problem, but not when a family member is frantically calling to make sure you got a certain grocery item vital to dinner… And you don’t see the calls or texts until you’ve pulled in the driveway… And really, let’s be serious, the gas discount is a scam. So let’s say I have earned enough points to save 60 cents per gallon for my 15 gallon tank. That’s only $ 9 savings if I even get a full tank’s worth… And I just spent that on the inflated product prices in the store anyway. So really, it’s just a way to make you THINK you got a great deal… Not actually a good deal. You can save that and more at Wegman’s and even more at ALDI. Their fish fry and fried chicken can’t even save them… Tops needs to get with it. Shake up management. Make your stores more desirable to shop at… And obviously make them more desirable to work at because your employees seem miserable.

This review is targeted to this Tops in-store fried chicken. I passed by it so many times, and always reached for the rotisserie chicken. This weekend I decided to give it a try and OHMYGODOHMYGOD… ITISDELICIOUS! 16 pieces of scrumptious crispy & tender love in a white paper bag. As for the store itself, it’s whatevah. The bakery is good, the steaks are cut too thin and it’s expensive. I’m a weggies girl,(Sheridan –Evans) but am forced to go to this store on my way home from work as I now live in that hood.
