horrible horrible horrible food was cold not good at all and the service sucked!!! i would not recommend anyone to order from these people. we has recently moved in to the neighborhood and tried ordering delivery and it took almost two hours. the lady answering the phones was nice really good effort to help but the food is just not good at all.

I came on Thursday for happy hour and stood til late. It wasn’t super packed but nonetheless it was a good time.
Drinks were on point thanks to our bartender Carlos. Ask Carlos to make you his special sangria which contains some Hennessy in it but it is not overpowering.
The DJ (DJ Curruption) was great and also took requests.
We enjoyed some hookah which was decently priced at $ 15 and the refills were $ 10.
I would definitely stop by again!

This place is not a place to sit down and eat. The food taste microwaved. I didn’t have a drink but I’m sure that’s where this place makes it’s money.

This was my first time at lotus flame and I was not impressed at all. The food was horrible, especially the bake and shark, the calamari and the doubles. The prices are too much for the quality of the food. The quantity was worth 4 dollars instead of 10 dollars. The bake was undercooked, the shark was hard and inedible and I have never had doubles like that before. The thing that was good there was the curry duck (minus the roti), tamarind sauce and the shandy. Wish I could give no stars. Needless to say I won’t be returning.

Hahaha, this place is a joke. If you plan on eating here plan to spend time in the bathroom when you get home.

Amazing atmosphere and ambiance. Owners are down to earth and cool. Staff is amazing, bartenders build a great relationship with there customers while at the same time making them feel at home. The Dj is awesome Friday nights it’s Latin night and Saturday wear Indian. The food is amazing. Fried shark and sweet plantain definitely makes my day !!! Great new feel for the neighborhood :-)

1^st impression:
The giant Guyanese+American flags are cool. Can’t say the same about the logos/​colors/​designs– could be toned down. It looks like a bar but is a café/​sports-​bar styled establishment. The staff were friendly & apologized for not having some menu items available (understandable for a new biz). The small order was hot, fresh, and ready in 15 minutes. The food is a bit pricey. The location is decent but only street parking is available.
Food:
The phoularie was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and had adequate dhal flavor. They were generous with the condiments (sour, pepper, tamarind sauce). The pepper sauce was extra hot. The fish cake was adequately salty and well done. The saltfish and bake was also good. Positives: generous saltfish, fresh tomato slice, crispy lettuce, all in non-​oily bake. Negatives: saltfish could’ve been boiled more as the saltiness was a bit too much. Overall the food was very good and a refreshing new addition to the menu choices in the Bronx. I will surely return for take out and maybe bring cousins or a young crowd to sit in.

No stars for this place. I only put one star because I had to. If you want food, this is not the place for you. This place is only if you want a drink. $ 40 food that sucks! Couldn’t even finish it! Went to buy pepper shrimp fried rice and the woman said you have to buy pepper shrimp for $ 16 and fried rice for $ 12. We ended up getting the house special fried rice which tastes like Melanie’s fried rice ON A BAD DAY! The lo mein was even worse! It tastes horrible! And the fried chicken it came with was just as bad! The food had no taste. None. No salt, no spices, nothing to give it flavor, and they only put one small pepper sauce. Definitely not going back to this place for food! I’d rather walk to Melanie’s than to Lotus Flame! AND NOW my 1 and a half year old son just woke up vomiting their nasty ass food!
