Keep away from this gym!
First of all, the gym is bit older but ok and some coaches are good, this is probably a good enough gym for recreational classes. However, if you want your child to succeed in gymnastics and compete, run away! This is particularly true for boys. The owners are very rude, unprofessional, not communicative and appear to care only about money and nothing else. Our experience is they do not care about the children in the gym (or their concerned parents paying over $ 4K yearly) at all. Our son was going there for close to 5 years, he was on the competition team for 2 years. We begged for more training hours for the team to be more successful, they never even responded. Then, suddenly, one day after the first competition of the season, the only coach they had for boys team got fired in the middle of the training. They let go of the whole team, with stone faces, absolutely no compassion and no word of apology or encouragement, no explanations. All the boys in the team were traumatized and scared, they loved the coach. I hear this is not the first time they let go of the whole team. These people should not be in business where children are involved. Just do yourself a favor and take your money somewhere else!

Rebecca A.‘s review is on point. My daughter was here in 2012. This was my first choice due to convenience of location (close to home) and costs.
The classes are technically taught, I cannot even call it teaching more like supervising, by none experienced college kids, who are not USAG certified instructors and who only work there as a part time job to get through college. They do not teach your kid anything. It’s more like watching your child to use their equipment, their facility and let them do whatever they feel like doing. No progression in training cause it is barely a training. There is no lesson cause your kid learn nothing. You are just paying to use the facility for that hour.
Therefore, training is poor — no progression through the levels. I have complained about this to the owner and they did nothing about it. So when I did not see improvement and changes the second season, I did not enroll my daughter again. The classes they have do not prepare your child for ‘real’ gymnastics. They have no proper instruction so it is not worth your time, not worth your kids time and effort, not worth the money. Spend a few extra dollars and head to another gym to get better training and support. The owner has demonstrated that she has lack of respect for the kids, for your concerns, paying customers. They are just after your money. Also ALWAYS ASK and ALWAYS KEEP your receipts. They will ran after you asking you to pay again and again and again even if you already have paid and even if they already have a copy in their records that you already have paid. They are just try to get your money and more of your money thereafter.

Find another gym!!! The instructor Blair is very rude to children and has used improper language with my child. I brought it to the owners attention and he told me that this has happened several times before. He told Blair that this was his last chance but after reading reviews on the web it seems as if this has been going on with other children. I decided to keep my daughter at Middlesex but pulled her out of his classes. Unfortunately we were displaced after Hurricane Sandy losing our entire first floor. We were living in a hotel and when I asked Middlesex if I would be able to miss a week and resume the next week they told me NO! They would not make any special cases!!! When I explained that we lost 2cars, were living out of a hotel and all I was asking was to start back one week later the woman at the desk nastily said listen we can’t make any exceptions!!! Needless to say we walked out that door and are now at Head over Heels!

Currently have a child on the team and we are extremely disappointed with the coaching and owners. As soon as find a new gym, we are leaving. They recently let go of their top coach and they are left with only assistant coaches who only work there as a part time job to get through college. Training is poor and there is no progression through the levels. Their rec classes are taught by college kids who are not USAG certified instructors and these classes do not prepare your child for ‘real’ gymnastics. They are the cheapest in the area but don’t waste your money because the quality of the instruction is not worth what you are paying. Spend a few extra dollars and head to another gym to get better training and support. The owner has demonstrated on numerous occasions that she has lack of respect for the kids or her paying customers. Too many examples to list here. I wish I had seen reviews on this gym prior to going. I hope this review helps other parents. Please stay away from this gym.
