I’vew done business with Bill the owner for some years now. I’ve had great success with L. and A. Auto on several levels.
First: Price is more than fair!
Second: Delivered my car /​SUV when promised.
Third: Has always been honest with what work I needed.
If you want to deal with a local small business with great ethics & values, this is the place.

I tried this mechanic twice. Both times I had to take it to a different mechanic afterwards because they missed what was really wrong with my car. The first time they charged me for new breaks, even though I had just had them replaced not even a year early when there was something else actually broken. The second time my calipers were shot and they didn’t notice them which then caused my breakpads to stick to my rotors and me lose full control of my breaks, not to mention the awful burning smell.

If you live in the Dundee area you should be bringing your car here. I used to work close to the place and I would drop my car off for oil changes and other repairs. The owner, Bill is a stand-​up guy and will not steer you wring. He will tell you what is wrong with your car, how they will fix it, and will hunt for good used parts if possible to save you some money. He will also give you advice to whether the repair is worth it (if the car is not worth enough to justify the repair cost).
I have sent several people there and they all have had good experiences. Everyone should know a quality mechanic and this place is the real deal.
