Best Western Mountain View Inn

Would not let us stay with family of 5 in one room. My son, his wife, 2 children, That’s crazy! Suppose to get 2 rooms for our family of 5? Shame on you

There really aren’t many hotels in or near Ellijay. This one is on the main highway, so it is convenient to everything and is easy to find. It also sits far up on a hill so you have a view of the mountains, rather than the highway!
When my wife and I stayed here for our anniversary the staff bent over backwards to make our stay wonderful! They even spent the tip money I gave them to buy us flowers! We couldn’t have asked for better service.
The rooms are nice, new, and clean. There is, however, no elevator and the stairs are a bit narrow when carrying luggage.

As what appears to be the nicest (newest) hotel in East Ellijay, this Best Western was a solid choice. I’ll start by saying this… AVOID room # 111… this was our room and it has some issues with ceiling members/​beams creaking incessantly all night while the occupied rooms above you have movement. Sleep was not affected as they luckily retired for the night at the same time as me, but that could be different next time. Avoid this room.
The rest of the hotel was nice, front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and comfortable, modern and clean. The location has free WIFI available on site and has free breakfast with pancake machine, cereal, biscuits and sausage gravy and hard boiled eggs.
Also onsite (and more useful in winter than in summer) was the indoor pool building… containing a pool of course which I assume they heat in winter and a hot tub. The pool was clear and cool and very refreshing but the pool building was hot and muggy… tolerable as long as your in the pool but it was not comfortable… many sliding glass doors can be opened for fresh air…
Also, this hotel is located high atop a hill (mountain?) and has great views of surrounding mountains and areas… we woke up in the clouds one morning with the hotel inside a fog bank… very cool.
Will definitely stay here next time we need to in the area.

This hotel rests high upon a hill, it has a pretty view. The hotel itself is not huge, more on the smaller side which is great, I much prefer it that way.
They offer breakfast, always a plus and the staff was nothing but incredibly nice. Such a nice change from our usual Miami ornery service.
Good prices for a room, and the rooms themselves aren’t anything to write home about, they are clean and have plenty of space.
A great place to stay if you are in the area.

Beginning from the standpoint that it is a Best Western, that’s all you should know to measure your expectations. What I mean by that is, the hotel is unique in its location, cozy, with some pretty nice views although the construction in the general vicinity has been encroaching upon the scenery.
In general terms it is a nice stay, with comfortable rooms and nice, friendly staff.
Its location is very convenient right off the main road but high enough in the hill to muffle the traffic noise from the highway.
Virtually across the highway from a Super Walmart and several good restaurants.
Good for a long weekend or a couple days stay, beyond that, you may start feeling a bit couped up.
