It’s been quite a while since I’ve been here In the past it was usually after a long night. Stopped by this past weekend we had a large group of 20 people it was a last minute decision they were able to accommodate everyone comfortably. They start u off with some Bread not too bad bread was warm. Lots of stuff was ordered can’t say much about everyone else’s food except for the few I tried, Bacon cheese burger wasn’t that great taste wise. Good Stuffed shrimp with a Caesar salad, the salad was alright odd dressing & the croutons were not that good. Good Chicken fingers & Waffle fries were pretty good. I had the Steak Bistro salad, decent size salad it was alright, steak lacked flavor the vinaigrette dressing helped. Over all service is a bit slow, prices are reasonable for diner food in the end large group & everything ran smoothly so not too bad.

This has always been my” go to” restaurant until last night. First of all, for a restaurant not to have any knowledge of what gluten free is, is whacked. I asked the wait staff if the pea soup had flour and was told that they didn’t know and the chef was not there. I also had pork chops and still don’t know what was on top of the chops. Hopefully I have no reaction to what I believe was gluten due to ignorance

I crashed her while waiting for an early morning flight from LGA. The décor was unintentionally-kitschy, in a charming way. The menu was as expansive as the night was long and the waitress was a riot, keeping me entertained and well-cared for. I wish there was a diner like this in my hometown. A very memorable night!

The food is excellent but the service could be better. Not to say that it’s bad service just not great.

Probably the nastiest bacon I’ve had. Pancakes were good but dry. You will need lots of butter and syrup. Home fries I could have done without(even after a crap load of salt it still sucked). My boyfriend had a waffle and omelette, didn’t care for neither. Blue Hawaiian drink is pretty but taste like coconut medicine. Didn’t taste or feel any liquor. Server never checked on us once after we ordered.

Eh… place has gone down in quality. Manager is an a-hole; treats customers and employees like they’re peasants/garbage. Take a stroll and go to the other diners around neighborhood.

Ordered the spinach pie delux from seamless. It came with a HUGE spinach pie(half of a dinner plate), a large portion of fries, a huge Greek salad(they called it small), and two slices of bread with butter… All for about $ 10. Amazing deal. Plus, they delivered it without griping to my walk up apartment. Usually I at least get some comment about the horrible stairs or a request to come meet them at the bottom. The best part? The food was DELICIOUS. Will def order from them again.

I don’t know what happened to this diner. Use to come here frequently but have not been here in awhile and really was surprised at how much it has changed & not in a good way. When we pulled into the parking lot at 8 pm on a Saturday night, it was pretty empty and that should’ve been a hint. This place always had a full parking lot on Saturday night. There was no hostess to great or seat us-we were told to seat ourselves. We sat in an old, ripped booth in the back. The dining room was pretty empty. Waitress came over with the menus but did not even great us with her name. We ordered an appetizer of calamari and my husband and son each ordered a different soup. The calamari were basically all legs and a rancid tasting marinara sauce. My son had to send back his New England clam soup because he said it tasted sour. The«coleslaw» was a swimming in some strange yellow color goo. It looked gross & can’t tell you how it tasted because I would not touch it. The only reason I am giving it two stars is for the entrées, they were decent/edible. My husband & I had wraps, my son had a chicken sandwich & my daughter had a kids meal. The place is in need of dire updating. The booth cushions are ripped, the laminate in the booths are peeling off, my daughters cup had a crack in it. Serve was pretty bad as well. No refills on coffee or water, not coming over to see if we needed anything. It also took forever to get the check and I could not understand why since it looked like we were our waitresses only customers.

I went to the diner today and ordered a t-bone steak which was delicious and juicy! I have no words to describe it! The salad was fresh and the soup was superb. The service was perfect.

Good old diners! Best spot at any time of day and night! Perfect for a small bite before calling a Saturday night complete. Love the ham and cheese grilled sandwich. Waitress was so friendly. Mind you this was past midnight. Many places their waitstaff is cranky at that tine lol

This deliciously perfect diner is a must when you’re in the area. It has everything! Ethnic and American! Alcoholic and boring beverages! The food is delicious, literally all sorts of cuisines are presented here — Southern American, Greek, Italian, etc. To top it off, I feel like I walked into a movie set with how teal and neon everything is! And their sweets look phenomenal. Complete 5 stars.

My friend lives literally two blocks from this place and delivery takes over and hour. When I called to cancel our order they were unapologetic and seemed not to care. The food is overpriced and not very good to begin with. Don’t waste your time. There’s better food in the area both eat in and delivery. This place is definitely not worth your money. The quality of food and service are subpar.

Diner food is Diner food. The French fries are great! The girls and i had Chicken wraps. I opted for a: Fajita Chicken Wrap”(grilled chicken, onion peppers, tomatoes and lettuce) and the girls ordered«Honey Mustard Chicken Wraps”(grilled chicken, lettuce tomato honey mustard). Mines was OK nothing really special didn’t taste any sauce. The girls liked theirs. One thing though they make great Smoothies/Milkshakes. I’d go again if in the area, why not.

I decided to give this place another chance since it had so many good reviews. Not only do I stand by my former review but I found it to be even worse. I ordered black bean soup and it was so tasteless that although I was going to order something else, I decided not to waste any more money at this restaurant. The soup was completely bland and even though I added salt it was completely tasteless. Once again I had visions of chef Ramsey screaming in the kitchen about the lack of fresh ingredients. I am usually not so negative in my reviews but I felt I had to give my fellow Unilocalers a warning about this restaurant. Also, the staff act like they’re doing you a favor by waiting on you. They hang around and don’t come over till they’re good and ready. I also had to wait to give the cashier my money when I left! This restaurant is dead to me. I won’t be back. By the way I was here on December 1st at approximately 3 p.m. for those who are interested.

Probably the best place to camp out around Laguardia airport if you are waiting for a loved one’s flight to arrive. Open 24⁄7. Old diner style interior décor could be updated, but nothing appears to be falling apart. I ordered the chicken souvlaki deluxe for $ 10.95 which came with a large helping of fresh and seasoned grilled chicken, a pita, fries, a sour pickle, cole slaw, and tzaziki sauce. There were fresh onions, tomatoes, and parsley in the pita with chicken. Most diners serve dry chicken but it was perfectly cooked and tasty. I was planning to get a second platter for my hungry fiancé when I’d pick him up, but turns out I had plenty of leftovers for him with my single portion. Good service. Friendly staff. I was alone and I felt like I was really taken care of. Would camp out here again.

Arrrgh! The name just reminds me of the rocking pirate ship ride at Coney Island! Maybe it’s their 70’s kitschy décor that appeals to the Brady Bunch generation. They opened in 1976 and has not been updated very much since. The jukeboxes on the walls of the booths still accept quarters. Their food and service are still as consistent as ever and their prices are just as affordable over other Queens diners that have gone more upscale. If you want a nice home-made meal in a convenient location, the Buccaneer is pretty solid. We only found it when we were coming from LaGuardia and ended up on Astoria Blvd when the Grand Central Parkway was jammed and we were hungry for a quick bite. The daily dinner specials always include a variety of seafood and meat dishes whether fried, broiled or baked. And most of the dinners come with soup, salad, choice of potato & vegetable and a big ol’ basket of bread. You can’t beat $ 18.95 for a ribeye steak & lobster tail dinner with all the trimmings and is a ridiculous amount of food that comes on multiple plates. As if that wasn’t enough, It even comes with a couple of chopped stuffed clams The braised beef shortribs are great when it’s on the specials board. For me, a measure of a good diner is if they can do a good beef brisket and theirs is moist and flavorful with a generous portion. Burgers are a good choice too, especially with the waffle fries. We’ll have to come back to have a proper diner breakfast on the weekend.

Good place to go if early for flight at LaGuardia. Big menu selection. Good service. Typical good NY Dinner food. Specials are always a litter better then good. Ownership pays attention and keeps everything moving.

Thank you Mr. Costas for your reply. Yes, I did voice my disatisfaction and was only given an apology that the meals were not to our liking and that our feedback would be passed along to management.
