Great neighborhood spot! Very unassuming from the outside and happened to be passing it on the way to the grocery store. After being stuck inside for over 24 hours because of the blizzard it was great to go out somewhere and see other people. Very neighborhoody type place and pretty standard which is right up my alley. Nothing fancy, just good drinks, decent bar food, and a good bartender. What more do you need to watch a game and get out of the house for a couple hours?

Love at first bite! Great sliders and drinks and a really cool waitress to boot. Will return, I’m sold! This place is cozy and although I wouldn’t say any bar is always inviting, I enjoyed it here!

The place is kind of small but it’s a good sports bar. I like that it’s close to my apt because you do not find many good bars in the Jackson Heights area.

Been coming here for years! They get a gold star for their awesome nuclear wings, there Monday night football specials, their clientele which is weird as hell and the fact they are in the middle of no where but still manage to keep people coming back.

Stopped in to kill some time before a flight out of LaGuardia… to say I was pleasantly surprised is such an understatement! Friendly staff and patrons… stout drinks… but here’s the kicker… REALLY good chili!!! I’m from Texas and consider myself something of an expert and this stuff is good. I’m pretty sure the flight will be uncomfortable if I have a second bowl… but I’m still considering it.

Not three stars, 3.5– read and I’ll explain… Great neighborhood bar. Actually the epitome– what other establishment has its kitchen open until 2am in Queens? The burger and sliders here are as good as your best match however it’s close to home so why bother going the distance. Wings– weird how it’s set up flavor wise so just get the medium wings because the hot(I like spicy food) isn’t hot. The medium wings are perfectly balanced and have a zing to them and have BBQ sauce at the same time. Fries– curly is the way to go and the rest are blah. Finally — the steak tidbits: ridiculously awesome must have — however are rarely over salted. You can’t go wrong with the aforementioned. My only gripe which is why it’s 3.5 out of five stars– buy backs are nearly non existent and what I pay at a gastropub or at an actual restaurant(better quality food) is as expensive as this neighborhood bar(basically typical bar food– that isn’t bad but at the end of the day it is typical). Loyal customers– buy backs guys… Get with the program. Folks: check out Dillingers in Astoria– they do buy backs and have good food specials like skirt steak and burgers and even though I haven’t reviewed them I give them four out of five stars. Cassidys: introduce some food specials and or buy backs and you’ll be way on your way.

Ordered the Mild wings and the French onion soup both very good. Came here on a Sunday afternoon, pretty empty place no one was sitting down eating, mostly just men at the bar. If you want a quick bite in a small Irish bar I recommend here. :)

Yesterday was a beautiful day for a walk in Queens. After, so many cold and wintery days I needed to enjoy a pre spring day. What better than to walk to a bar… lol. Cassidy’s Ale House, located in the East Elmhurst section of Queens is a run of the mill Irish Bar. Nothing special. Very average. Not the end of the world, but not worth the trip to this section of Queens. If I lived in the area, I am sure Cassidy’s would be a favorite. Adult beverages within walking distance of home is always a benefit, but living a couple of miles away; oh well, I have better choices. Beer selection is average and standard. Bud at $ 4.50 for afternoon pricing seem a bit overpriced. Not a big deal. Cassidy’s seems to be the only gin mill around. Overall, Cassidy’s Ale House is your very standard Irish bar. Service was friendly with a smile. Had a bit to many small TVs for my taste. They serve food. Might try a burger if in the area next time. Place looked clean, but a bit worn. Worth a visit with the wife if in the area. Cheers…

This place may be a bar but it’s definitely family friendly, I bring my 3 year old here she loves the wings… Very inviting staff I am glad to know a spot like this just to chill out at … The Wings is a must always get a large order I know people like spicy but get it just BBQ this is it, crunchy and saucy, and the Beer always freezing cold… Stop by if you just want to get away for a little bit and have some ME time…

Its the best neighborhood bar. The owners and the staff make you feel like you’re part of a family when you’re there. The prices are reasonable and there’s a great party room for functions in the back The wings and burgers are sensational, great place to watch NFL football gO Annie!

This is a colorful little neighborhood bar with pretty good food, but the pricing moves them down a star. A plate of wings cost $ 17?! The wings were good, but… Beer aint cheap here either. We went on an NFL Sunday. The atmosphere was very old school, as were the TVs. Many of the sets are too small and non-HD. The place was full of mostly Jets fans and old men. The only woman was an Asian who was selling bootleg DVDs.

Brunch advertised, but not actually written down. Sort of a short order deal on brunch, I guess. Bar didn’t have half the beers the menu said they did. Burger was pretty good. We liked the curly fries. My wife’s French onion soup tasted wrong — too sweet. Food was too expensive. Service was fine.

The waitress was friendly. Mid day Sunday, relatively empty. The menu offers weekend brunch, but no brunch menu is offered. The waitress said you could«just name a brunch type thing like eggs with sausage in» as your order. The brunch cost remains a mystery. Also, she said they don’t have«like half» the beers on the drinks menu when my husband named one he wanted to try??? My onion soup was sweet in a bad way. I love French onion soup. I get snobby about it often times, I admit that. I don’t know what onions or broth they use here, but it was sickly sweet. Also, the bread in French onion soup is meant to be under the broth so it sops it up; not under the melted cheese and DRY. The burger had mushrooms, so I didn’t try it(allergic), but the curly fries were quite tasty. This was our frat visit and its likely to be my last. If you’re gonna charge $ 11(+tax) for a beer and a soup, make them a lot more enjoyable than this was please.

The staff is very nice and is always up for a fun conversation. The times that I have been here we always order the wings and they are always delicious. The beer selection is okay. Its a nice place to sit down with a few friends, appetizers and brews.

Beer: 4 stars Food: 3 stars Great beer… okay food. There was a group of 8 of us that headed over to the bar as part of the JHFG. Ice cold beers. YUM! As for the food, we got the following: 1) Fried Calamari — good & crunchy as expected 2) Sliders — pretty decent; the meat was salty, and we got the bacon on it as well, so the burger was too salty for me 3) Sweet Potato Fries — the sweet potato fries weren’t sweet… but then we realized that sweet potatoes aren’t in season right now; otherwise, the bar cooked the sweet potatoes as it should with a nice crunch 4) Buffalo Fingers — meh The atmosphere was great. There is a section in the back, which is good for parties or gatherings. This is one of the better bars in the Jackson Heights, Queens area for beers on tap. Food is a-ok.
