Dominican Hair Style

So happy to have this place in the neighborhood!!! It’s literally down the street from me and they always give me exactly what I need.
Now this isn’t the type of place you go to so you can be pampered! This is the place you go to so your hair can be LAYED to the gods! (that’s black girl slang for having your hair beautifully & perfectly blow dried)
The staff here are all nice and it’s a very homey environment so don’t be surprised if they eat in front of you or speak to one another. However the shop is very well maintained and clean. There’s no hair or dirt on the floor.
The best thing about this place is the price! They have a price list set up as soon as you walk in. For a wash & set they only charge 18.00!!! I was shocked when she charged me so little! I usually pay almost 50 including tip. So this place not only does a great job on my hair it’s also insanely affordable!

Honestly I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. They’re lazy and they spend more time doing their own hair than they do on their customers. One time I went there to get a wash and set and after the dryer finished I sat there for about 20 minutes then one of them came up to me and was like «what are you waiting for?» I was waiting to get my rollers taken out and my hair wrapped but I guess they expected me to do that part myself. The extra star is for the décor. It’s really beautiful inside.
