This is a very pretty park overlooking a scenic lake. There was no shortage of little sailboats on the water. It was very calming to watch the boats sway in the wind. Unless you come with your own boat or board, you won’t find much else to do here. The cement was caked in goose crap, so taking a walk along the lake was out of the question. It was all in the grass, too. If you’re coming to enjoy the water, it’s the park for you. Otherwise, there’s nothing else to do here.

I’ve always said when it comes to living in East Grand Rapids, you get what you pay for. This park is perfect, always. The Recreation department does a fantastic job of keeping everything we-presented. The flowers and lawn are beautiful. The walkways are smooth. The duck population even seems to know where to potty. This park is great for a quick take-out picnic from one of the local businesses, or just to grab some books at the library and sit. I am so glad to have such a stunning neighborhood park.

Located on the scenic edge of Reeds Lake, Collins Park is a popular destination for all who love spending time on the water or simply enjoying being outdoors. Complete with a public boat launch, several seating areas, public restrooms, and well manicured green space to enjoy, this park truly has it all. Not to mention it is only a short walk from the shops and restaurants of gaslight village East Grand Rapids.

Lawn is beautifully kept, and marina is easily accessible. The park-side of the lake is lined with a running trail and is close to shopping, food, and desserts. Some friends and I sat on the bench and on the grass for hours while we talked under the sun & shade and let the lake-side breeze wash away our normal daily concerns.
