This place is such a treat for me… for years I did not get to go very often because there was not one in my area. Now I live kind of close to one and get treated often. A little bummed tonight because they were already out of the top three choices of mine and I wanted something New(I always get country fried steak). Got the meatloaf instead and boy was it good. Passed on dessert but they were out of the one I would have gotten anyway. As usual the service was great. I just wish I could have spent my usual time shopping in the store but we had to leave. Can’t wait till the next time we get to come here!

It seems like the same types of people patronize this store no matter where it is. It seems they like the food here. This particular location does not have the best service. It took three attempts to ask for coffee from out server. Also, some of the sides came out after the main meal 15 minutes later when the meal was almost done. Also, the weather outside was about 55 degrees while inside the air conditioner was being blasted full force, it felt like the artic. The food was okay, it is definitely not home cooking but it passes.

It was an extremely typical Cracker Barrel, although my favorite meal at C. B. is breakfast. This was dinner and I had the shrimp. Not bad, but not great either. But they are doing a brisk business and that tells me they are doing something right. All the wait staff I observed are very polite and attentive to guests.

Went here, today, with my husband and the food and service were amazing. I had the pancakes with turkey sausage and scrabbled eggs. My husband had the same with cheese grits. We left very full and satisfied. So, you may be wondering why only four stars. Well, this place lost a star for the orange juice. My husband ordered the orange juice and pretty much could«eat» his juice. If you love pulp in your orange juice, go for it. If not, order something else. The hot chocolate is amazing.

Went in on Monday at 11:50am & ordered an egg breakfast for 2 people. 12:36 rolls around and Jessica, our waitress comes over to tell us that the kitchen lost some tickets & they are trying to catch up. I obviously stood up and informed her we’d be leaving. Her comment was«whatever» in which I approached Robert the manager on duty to tell him about our issue and urged him to watch the video to confirm our side of things. I WOULDNOT recommend this place ever again. Jessica’s ignorance made me so furious I called in a corporate complaint. I have yet to hear back from the higher ups… Guess that shows you their level of care for their consumers

I love the country boy breakfast with steak. A huge meal for a great price. For someone who’s not s big fan of breakfast this is where I enjoy it. This time my steak was a bit more medium(ordered rare) and my husband thought his eggs were a little under cook. Service is always good and they always seem to be busy for breakfast but we never seem to have to wait for a table.

This was my first experience with cracker barrel and I loved it! The service was so good and everyone was so kind. The food is quite cheap and you get a lot of it; the eggs and breakfast meats were great and I’m glad I tried the apples, but I wouldn’t get them again. They also have a fun country store attached to the restaurant and I really, really liked coming here. I’ll definitely visit cracker barrel again!

Service is usually OK. Not really the best but not bad also. Food is as usual, good. I mostly go here for my brunch/breakfasts. Their breakfast menu is all what I usually order from. Never ordered anything from lunch menu so I wont be able to advise on it. Good for families and friends.

We went there tonight. Though the rest of the party was ok with the meal, picky me was not. I do not like onions in my mashed potatoes or gravy. I had the chicken fried chicken. It was just ok. The drink I had the strawberry lemonade was the worst I have ever had. It was so tart I started gagging. Anyway, to each their own. I just know after 5 times I will not be back.

Four stars for Fish fry Friday! You could order either haddock or catfish(I think it was catfish). I had the haddock fish fry. It was huge and had chunks of delicious haddock. The steak fries portion was a little skimpy and undercooked for my taste but the kid loved them. The coleslaw was really good. Four people, 2 of which had pancakes, was under $ 60 with tip. Not bad!

I had another opportunity to eat here on my way to the Albany airport. The service was fast and friendly and the food as expected. I’m happy to have a «go to» place when I travel here on business.

I’m giving this place a middle of the road rating out of courtesy. I decided to go for breakfast and they didn’t offer many of the breakfast staples I gravitate towards. First, no corned beef hash. Homemade would have been lovely but I’d even have settled for the canned variety. Neither are an option. Next, no sausage links, only patties. Sausage patties vs. Sausage links is like cube steak to a NY strip. The patties just don’t cut it for me. Also, they don’t have English muffins. No English Muffins! They are my bread of choice with breakfast. Nothing else soaks up butter or runny egg yolks like their nooks and crannies. I felt deprived. This leads to the fact that they don’t offer eggs Benedict. I don’t often eat eggs but when I do and since I’m too lazy to make them at home, Eggs Benny are what I want. They are the quintessential breakfast for me. I was sad to see that this dish is not an option. Now let’s talk spinach. Or lack thereof. My favorite omelet combination is stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, onions and cheese. Sadly, they don’t have spinach. To me that’s like going to a burger joint that has no cheese so a cheeseburger is not an option. Some diners offer spinach only as a seasonal ingredient which is ridiculous since spinach is readily available year round. CB simply doesn’t offer it. Why not?! Also, home fries don’t exist here. Say whaaat? But… if you like biscuits, which I don’t, if you love grits, which I don’t, if you love flavorless white country gravy… if you like sickly sweet and sticky fried apples… then you might like this place. To their benefit they have real butter, real maple syrup, their coffee is decent and the service is quick and friendly. Oh, and the cheesy potato casserole wedge I got since they don’t have home fresh is tasty. And they cook eggs like a pro.

Whenever I’m out of the city I make it a point to find a CB on the way. The service is always excellent and this time was no different. It was a Saturday afternoon, we had a party of 5 and we were seated within minutes. Our waiter was very nice & attentive, the food came quickly and everyone left satisfied. I ordered the pancakes with eggs & bacon(their pancakes are my favorite) and they were delicious. We finished off with some biscuits & cornbread which were really hearty. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m visiting Albany.

You really can’t go wrong with a Cracker Barrel! My Rueben Sandwich was a little soggy on the plate side but still tasty and filling. The chicken and dumplings is my wife’s fav and, once again she was pleased withe her meal. Friendly wait staff and a great value.

I am a fan of simple, delicious, and well-priced food, and to me eating at Cracker Barrel is like eating in my grandma’s house. Country dishes, great breakfasts, sweet tea(!!!), and scrumptuous desserts — what more can you ask for? You really can’t go wrong with any dish here — breaded catfish, blackened catch-of-the-day, chicken fried chicken, buttermilk chicken… I can go on and on. My favorite part is all the side choices — especially corn, okra, and the sweet whole baby carrots… just so yummy! AND you can get away with the entire meal for two with dessert for something like $ 25-$ 30! This is definitely a great place to try — if you haven’t already, plan a road trip and make sure to stop by here!

I’ve been here a handful of times when coming back from Albany with the family bc they are obsessed with Cracker Barrel! It’s reliable food and service most of the time and seating is fairly quick with small wait times. We all opted for lunch foods versus breakfast bc lets get real, I can cook my own mean breakfast at home for no cost. Dad and I had spicy grilled catfish while Mom and bro had chicken tenderloins, half fried and half grilled. We ate everything. Like EVERYTHING. Even the cornbread and biscuits yo. Only thing that was lame was, we were starving from only having coffee from waking up at 5am(now 11:30) and the cornbread/biscuit basket usually comes out with the drinks. This time the waitress brought it out with our food – kinda besides the point but whatever, since the food came out within ten mins anyway. This is def one establishment that I can always count on the food being what I expect it to be, and always tasting how I remembered it last. Quality country eats. Only two downgrades here are the lack of alcoholic bevvies here bc sometimes I want Bailey’s in my java or some moonshine with my fried chicken steak. Also the other diners here can be hella weird. For example the rangaa that was sitting behind us that had the most obnoxious voice, talking about how she just bought a hedgehog and was going back to school for her associates degree at age 28. Good for you, but I dont give two shizzles ya hick.

When you’re traveling and want a chow break, what’s important to you? If you value easy access off and on the highway, if you rate speed of service highly, if endless menu choices(and all day breakfast) is a deciding factor, if clean bathrooms and an always interesting general store ring your bell, and if comfortable reliable dependable food quality are your core values, I defy you to find a consistently better destination than Cracker Barrel. We stopped for lunch on the way to Albany, browsed in the always fun General Store, and had a quick lunch with good service and very good food. We had a BLT Sandwich, a Turkey Salad, a Chicken Vegetable salad, and three drinks for $ 28.54. The Chicken salad with Vegetables was excellent– three pan fried chicken tenders with lettuce, grape tomatoes, corn salad, cucumbers, sliced tomatoes, and 2 deviled egg halves. Really really good! Service was great, our orders were taken promptly, iced tea and coffee refills were fast, and the check was delivered with no wait. Well done, Cracker Barrel !
