On the Hill Property Management

These people may, quite literally, be the worst property managers on the face of the Earth.
About a year ago, I moved into a five bedroom home with some roommates. Upon arrival, there was:
A mouse infestation (for which Leslie, the manager, blamed us. It also took them about five months to even begin to fix this.)
Some broken lights that would not turn off (we were paying for electricity. Took two weeks to fix.)
Boxes on the thermostat preventing us from using them (we were paying the gas bill. Took a week to take them off.)
A broken front door (broken as in, it was not able to close. Took THREE weeks to fix. THREE weeks without a front door that closed.)
Two broken windows (one was broken when we looked at the place and the guy who showed it to us [Rich] said he was going to be fixing it after our tour. To this day, both of those windows are still broken)
Paint chipping off the walls and dirt all over the walls (Leslie said the house was freshly painted a few days prior to our move in… yeah right)

So much dirt in the house that a cleaning crew needed to come and do a half assed job of cleaning it.
A LARGE hole in the roof that was allowing large quantities of water to leak into the walls, causing paint bubbling whenever it rained.
We also had neighbors below us who smoked cigarettes in their apartment even though it was a no smoking building. While the property managers were made aware of this, they refused to ever do anything about it.
Whenever repairs were necessary, it took weeks to get the repair guy out to our house. He always showed up, did a half assed job, and left within about fifteen minutes. It was pretty clear that the guy had no idea what he was doing. Everything he fixed normally required subsequent repairs within a few days. And when they FINALLY fixed the giant hole in the roof, the repair guy came to fix all of the paint bubbling. His version of fixing this was, scrape off the paint and never return. First off, it took about three months to get the hole in the roof fixed. Second, this guy, in the remaining nine months that we lived there, never returned to finish the job he started, even though he was contacted repeatedly about it.
During the summer, neither myself nor any of my four roommates were in the area. So for about three months, our home was empty. However, a number of items from our kitchen were stolen and things all around the house seemed to have either gone missing or been moved around. Keep in mind, the door to this house had a passcode lock. You needed a specific passcode to open it. The ONLY people on the planet able to get in were my roommates and On the Hill. Well, if I wasn’t there and my roommates weren’t there, guess who must have stolen our stuff? That’s right… On the Hill Property Management!
Leslie also accused me of stealing a futon frame from outside of the house during the summer. Let me make this clear to anyone reading this. I was about 3,200 miles away when this was taken. Leslie accused me of stealing a futon frame from 3,200 miles away.
My roommates and I just got our deposits back from these people. There was a great deal of money taken out of our deposit for things that either did not exist or were already a problem when we moved in.
All in all, terrible company, terrible people, Leslie is honestly just downright disrespectful, and Rich (the maintenance guy) can’t do his job.
