Double check your order when you place it. I wanted a meatball hero and somehow got a foccacia sandwich. Also, two sandwiches took nearly 20 minutes to be prepared. I understand it’s «out east» but let’s get real. Way too long.

Delicious Sandwiches, hot and cold. Id give this a 4.5 if possible. I wish that I had paid a little closer attention to my sandwich options as I’d have preferred a hot sandwich… however it was spectacular all the same! I had a mozz, roasted eggplant and pepper on foccacia while my husband had a chicken, mozz, and pepper on a heated foccacia. Both were 9.5’s! The foccacia was lightly seasoned and so fresh! We ate out on the picnic tables as it was a nice October day but would love to return and bring our order down to the beach and enjoy. A steady stream of customers ordered while we sat. Located on the main road from Montauk through East Hampton, its an easy pull off with many great offerings including pasta salads, hot and cold sandwiches and paninis and pizza as well as some prepared offerings if you are staying in a cottage and want to dine in!

Best meatball sub in the area. Takes a bit of time to get your order as is any other place out here. I wouldn’t go anywhere else again for my sandwich craves in the Hamptons.

This place is always so great — tradition is to grab a sandwich from here, maybe a side of pasta(pesto tortellini ++) and run right down to two mile to watch the sunset and maybe start a bonfire. It’s an affordable take out place that’s open until 7:30 on weekends. So perfect timing to grab food before those cotton candy sunsets.

Delicious food! We are staying at the hotel across the street and it is so convenient to run over and get something. very good deserts as well. Also extremely low prices! They give you large portions and sides. Best place I’ve eaten at since we got here :)

We ended up coming here on a whim because the place next door was closed. You order at the counter and then wait for the food and you can’t either sit outside or take it with you. There were so many options of hot and cold sandwiches to choose from. I believe they had other options like pasta but since we were there for lunch we wanted something more portable. I got the mozzarella, basil and tomato panini with chicken. Oh man, it was SO good. The mozzarella was not your supermarket variety it was the real deal and there was plenty of it. The basil was fresh as you could really taste it. Nice slices of chicken and the bread, soft and crunchy and buttery, the bread was perfection! Fresh and real ingredients. So so good!

Nicest family runs the place. Food is always good, family style Italian. Not fancy. Served with a smile. It’s clean. Portions are generous. Prices are almost unbelievably reasonable. You couldn’t ask for more.

Stopped here for a bite not long after making it onto the island and the sandwiches are fantastic! I was able to modify the items on my sandwich with no huff from the servers. I think they owned the place. A mom and her daughter maybe? Anyway, they were nice and the place was quaint. I will definitely go again. Check em out and get some artichoke on your sandwich!!! Deelish!

I remember this place from when I was little and would frequent here after sailing camp with my friend from NYC, seasonally from the Springs. We would stop here to pick up sandwiches and head to Indian Wells Beach. We would always get one huge villa combo and split it. I always wished that I could get my own, but her mom or nanny would only allow us to split. I shouldn’t complain, and definitely didn’t need my own huge sub! I always remembered loving the Italian dressing and sweet peppers. I have been recently to get the old reliable and I have to say it’s not as good as I remember it being from childhood. Isn’t that always the case? However, great product. Always fresh and tasty. Great selection and salads. Like the assortment. Place does have outdoor seating but none inside. Good thing to note. It’s off the beaten path, across from the train station, and I always seem to get a spot. My husband loves the chicken Caesar.

I miss this place soooo very much! If you’re looking for a quick sandwich to enjoy at the beach then this is the place for you. The focaccia bread must have crack as a main ingredient. It’s just amazing. I can go on and on about Luigi’s but it would take too long and I would get in my car and drive out there to satisfy my craving. Please just go and order one of their many delicious sandwiches, you won’t regret it.

Sooooo… we found Luigi’s by turning around in their parking lot b/c we missed our turn. We noticed that the parking lot was packed so we made a mental note to return or look it up. We got unpacked and went back. We checked them out online and the reviews are awesome. I walk in expecting something totally different and was meet with a deli-like store/restaurant. I totally was expecting something different – I still don’t know what I was expecting just not what I found. So I walked out confused went back to the car and checked online again. Went back in and asked for a menu and couldn’t find pizza on their menu. So I asked the lady at the counter do they sell pizza and directed me to the close refrigerated case where there are saran-wrapped pizza smallish/medium size. At this point I’m kind of hungry and desperate as I didn’t want to go into town. I got one pizza(cheese and pepperoni), I picked up some sodas, and the Balocco sugar wafers near the counter. Get home put the pizza in the oven and honey let me tell you! It is by far the best pizza I’ve ever had! It’s FRESH! Fresh mozzarella, sauce, dough! It’s melts in your mouth. The next night it rained so we found ourselves back there again. Before we left I stopped by to pick up some pizzas to take home and I bought 5 and they offered to wrap them in aluminum foil for the trip back to DC. I’ve eaten 2 since I’ve been back and the other 3 are in my freezer waiting for me!

Be careful for its large portion and delicious sauce — it can be addicting :) Absolutely the best foccacia sandwich I’ve ever had.

Do not leave town without getting a foccacia sandwich here. If you do, you will have no idea of the heavenly flavors you are missing out on. It’s a bit hidden and out of the way from the main areas, but well worth the search to find it! Italian on foccacia… I’m still dreaming of it and forget the beach… I’m trying to find another way to get back to the hamptons for this little gem alone!

You could live off of this place. Fresh mozzarella and tomato sandwiches. Hot Chicken parmesan Delicious chicken francese!(frozen for take-home too!) And that’s just the beginning. They have great pastas and salads, awesome garlic knots, delicious home-made vinaigrette, and fresh italian breads. Do yourself a favor and get your next family dinner/lunch/snack here. They will take care of you and you will be so happy you did. Oh yeah, this is a take-out only place. There are a few tables outside for the lunch crowd, but don’t plan on bringing the clan for a sit-down dining experience.

That, my friends, is a great sandwich. I had the Italian Combo Hero and it was two days worth of lunch. The tortellini pesto salad was also delish. This place is super cute and family-ish and I wanted to order one of everything. A great place to get sandwiches/snacks for a picnic/beach trip.

This might be the best place to eat in the Hamptons. Basically, if you’re going to get takeout go East Hampton and go Luigi’s. You can get anything you want(basically) but their sandwiches are the best. I would recommend something, but the experience is better if you pick for yourself and get some variety when you go back after the first trip, which is unavoidable. But seriously, their subs might be the best I’ve ever had and their pasta is pretty good too. My diet is horrible and I don’t go for rabbit food very much, but even I can’t help but eat their salads and, don’t worry, they’ll give you enough to eat. The prices might look high at first, but once you take the Hamptons(and especially East Hampton) inflation into account they average out to about mediocre. If you’re still hungry after the salad, pasta, and sandwich, go for one of their desserts, they’re all pretty good. It’s a takeout place, and if you’re going for a full meal or are ordering for a large group of people it makes sense to call ahead. If it’s just you versus your lunch and you want a sandwich to run then you should be able to just hop in and out quickly. I usually only go here in the summer and the lines can be obnoxious, but the help and the attire are both topnotch no matter what the conditions are. Five stars all the way!!!
