C&L Auto Body & Towing

I wish there was a negative star rating because it might explain how awful my experience was with this auto body shop. My car was there for 3 wks, I never complain or question, all I ask is the job is done correctly. Get a call to pick up the car because it was complete and passed an inspection. The car was ready to go according to the office manager, Adele. Pick up the car the next day and first thing I notice is how dirty it is which is a clear sign of a sloppy job and what I came to learn, a sloppy business. Start the car and the engine light is on. this wasn’t on when dropped it off. Of course, I go back in and let the office manager know and her response is «It needs an oil change»…guess what. it doesn’t need an oil change… not due!!! She informs me to take the car and get it serviced. This is a 4000 job and now I have to go for more repairs. Take it to my trusted mechanic because I also discover along the way that the radio is not working and the blinkers don’t work… great!!! Leave the car at mechanic and call back C&L.they tell me to come back on Monday because it is closing time now. Never once was there an apology or even an explanation as to why the car was released if not repaired properly. In fact, the only person at fault was myself, according to them, for taking the car. My mechanic checked the car and did an oil change plus a new battery which fixed the radio but noticed some blinkers had not been reconnected and WORSE THE FRONT END HAD NOT BEEN ALIGNED AFTER ADELE HERSELF TOLD ME HOW DANGEROUS IT WAS TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH THE FRONT END OUT OF ALIGNMENT!!! (This was before they repaired the car) Also, if a battery is low or dead, that should be repaired… HOW CAN YOU KNOW IF A CAR IS WORKING PROPERLY WITH A MALFUNCTIONING BATTERY. I have since contacted Farmers insurance since they referred me there and will continue to fight to have this corrected. To date, Farmer’s will have my mechanic repair all the mistakes from C&L (my mechanic said his has to do this a lot) and they will pay him directly which will surely in the end affect my rates of course. WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! NEVER EVER USE THIS SHOP!!! THE OFFICE IS RUN BY A BUNCH OF WOMEN (I AM A WOMAN) AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING OR TALKING ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO CARS. THE OWNER CHARLES NAPOLI HAS NOT RETURNED MY CALL EITHER… COWARD!!! CANNOT SAY ENOUGH BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS SHOP!!! BEWARE!!!

The employees are great at the front desk, but here is your warning. my car was hit by another car and went there to have them fix it. It took a little longer then I expected, but I understand the issues. Once the car was done, I went there and picked it up. I did not notice any thing wrong until I stopped at a light and lifted my arm rest. My throwing knife was stolen along with 4 country cd’s. I called the manager and she told me she was sorry and would get back to me. 3 weeks later, no calls. The next day my wife was driving behind me and called me to ask why my muffler was bobbing. They never secured the muffler back in place and the decals were never put on as well. So I took it back to the shop and showed them what was wrong. It took them another couple of days to fix it. When I got my car back I looked around to make sure nothing else was stolen and long and behold, all my coins were taken from my changes cup except for the pennies.
Moral of the story, they have thieves that work there and if you plan on bringing your vehicle there, you better remove all of your valuable because its not safe when you have thieves working at a shop who are desperate for your belongings.
Its a shame when you have a great business but have thieves working for you.

They painted my car with bad bad quality, absolutely unacceptable. So I talked to their super and asked them to repaint it. They promised me they would get a rental car ready for me and cover the expense (for sure they should since all were caused by them). Then when I take my car there everything changed. They refused to pay my rental car and asked me to reschedule AGAIN! Totally a waste of time and gas. Can’t believe they are a certified GEICO auto body. SUCKS.

Let’s just say that we are frequent customers of C&L Auto Body because my husband is prone to hitting, scraping, bumping things (including my car on both sides) with his car. He has been in two major accidents with his car and both times we took his cars to C&L Auto Body. They do OUTSTANDING work! This time, my husband scraped both sides of my car and I backed up into a frozen tundra (okay it was a snow bank) and cracked my bumper. When I picked up the car, it looked brand new. They not only did an amazing job of repairing, replacing, buffing, and painting but they also cleaned the car (inside and out). Are they cheapest place on earth? No but they’re also not the most expensive and when it comes to stuff like this cheaping out shows (maybe not immediately but shortly thereafter. .. trust me, I learned this lesson the hard way once before). I am a professional and business owner so I want my car to reflect that I’m a serious person and that I take pride in everything I do. That’s why C&L Auto Body in East Hanover is my go-​to body shop!

This place SUCKS! They returned my car with a missing part I could have gotten into another accident thanks to them! They were just full of excuses and literally rushed to get my car with a crooked steering wheel! DON’t ever go here!
