While most lil kids went to pre-school, I went to library school. I think my parents were a little late in registering me for the local pre-school so I ended up going here. Learning to read and getting little toys as rewards is DEFINITELY a good idea. You’re probably not surprised that I started reading with a quickness. So as you can see, I’ve had a relationship with the East Hanover Public Library for over 20 years. It’s improved a lot, especially with the relatively recent renovations. But as much as I love the EHPL, it is definitely a small town library. In high school, I couldn’t really find as much of the research material as I needed and had to go to county. However, the children’s selection and young adult selection are great. Also, if you’re into the newest/latest fiction/non-fiction, you can definitely find that stuff here. And for your convenience, they have wireless is available as well as a slew of computers for you to use. The librarians here are wonderful. Mrs. «S», the children’s librarian is amazing. I never found out what her real name was. but I assume her last name is too long for young children to pronounce. The programs they have are awesome. Book groups, story hour, crafts groups, etc. Also, cheapest video/dvd rental in town! Half or 1⁄3 of Blockbuster’s prices. And if you want to get in touch with Santa, they have a mailbox around the holiday season. And he always responded. ;) 4.5 stars because of the need for a greater research area. NOTE: They’re closed Sundays during July and August
