On my way to Chester, NY this past Saturday, I realized that I needed a bottle of wine to bring to the surprise 70th birthday party I was attending. I figured I’d get off at any random exit off the LIE and find a liquor store. I happened to get off at exit 39, turned right, and drove right up to Eagle House Wines & Spirits. I was warmly greeted and promptly asked if I needed help. I told him where I was going and that I needed something that would fit the occasion. He recommended a fine pinot grigio that was within my price range and something he promised I would be remembered for. He also offered to wrap my bottle and provided a small card for me to write my birthday wishes on.
