Favorite restaurant in east Lansing. Everything is tasty and reasonably priced. Chicken wings are my favorite.

Went here for the first time and I was having a hard time picking what I wanted to eat since the menu has so much on it! Decided to try something new so I went with the Ho Fun which I absolutely loved. Not too heavy and they gave a huge portion so I have dinner for 2 more days. Definitely worth checking out since they have a combination of Chinese and Korean on the menu. I might change it up next time and try something Korean. They are decently priced for how much food you get.

I like Charlie Kang’s! Normally when we are in EL we go to the same places. Crunchy’s, Bdubs. I get a little tired of it. Once I figured out that CK has Korean food for me, as well as Chinese food to satisfy my picky companions I was hooked. What’s more is that they have some obscure ish I’ve never heard of before which will be fun to try. So far I’m a little stuck on plain old regular dolsot bibimbap, and theirs is very good — hence why I’m stuck on it. Both the kimchee fried rice and curry fried rice are very good. Speaking of kimchee, make sure you get a side of that as well as the picked radish.

Food is authentic and delicious. I go there at least once a week and everyone treats me with kindness and joy. Out of all the Chinese restaurants in East Lansing, Charlie Kang’s has to be the best. Charlie Kang’s or die.

We ordered a delivery from Charlie Kang’s and looks like they use Zoomer. As for the food we ordered through Unilocal… — jjajangmyun(black noodles) — chompong — eggplant in garlic sauce — kangpunggi made with boneless chicken I got my notice that the order went in… then it said I could track the delivery by downloading the app, so I did… after 20 minutes, I noticed that the driver was on their way… in fact, at the intersection, the car did a 180 and headed back to the restaurant… I tried to follow the delivery status, but i saw the car going towards Lansing… but thankfully at the time when delivery was due, the driver called. Ok, food time… — jjajangmyun — lot of sauce, some meat, but no veggies… the sauce also lacked some flavor, but it was edible… this isn’t something that I would order again. — chompong — has heavy seafood smell(yes, its seafood based), but the heavy smell over powered the dish… this might be a turn off for some, but as a seafood lover, no problem. Their mussels weren’t washed well enough… see the photo. I would order this dish again. — eggplant — this is a twist of Korean and Chinese and it doesn’t have that Chinese flavor. I liked this dish because it had heat… the pepper they put in there gave it a good spice to the dish. — kangpunggi — the breading was thick, but the sauce was good. Overall, the delivery could have been better… but next time I’m there, I’ll actually go to the restaurant and then order in and dine in. I’m still looking for a good Korean restaurant in East Lansing area… if you have any recommendations, please let me know.

Called in for a delivery order as I have done numerous times in the past and this time apparently there is a «new» delivery service that doesn’t deliver and the associate was extremely unprofessional and didn’t know ever he was doing and out me on hold for a good 15 minutes to tell me this

Staff was very unprofessional. I ordered fried over the phone and was told a reasonable price. When I got to the store the price was 3x what she said on the phone. When I got home to eat the food the containers were barely filled, like I could mix sauce in it before I started eating it and most of the shrimp still had veins.

I used to love this place. The last couple years it’s not been that good. And with options like Chen’s, Hong Kong Inn, Korea House and China Flavor– don’t bother. Too many great Asian places in town.

Enjoyed Tofu Soup and Kalbi. Great quality and reasonably priced. Customer service was good too. I will try Chinese menu next time.

Consistently good and an awesome staff! I’ve never had bad service here. Kang’s offers both Chinese and Korean cuisine, however the Korean cuisine seems to draw in the crowds here. Ingredients are fresh, the chicken tastes like chicken, and their sauces are never too sweet or processed tasting. Overall, pretty good Asian fare and definitely better than any other Chinese in the E.L. area.

Charlie King’s is a reliable place for decent food. Their take on the rangoon, the butterfry, is very good. If you want some quick, cheap, and always pretty good Chinese, this is never a bad choice.

Lunch special is fast, tasty and inexpensive! My friends and I like grab something there for lunch and have a little conversation time during lunch break! Bibimbap and all the beef dishes are recommended.

Charlie Kang’s easily has the best Chinese food and service in town. The owner is such a hard worker and is extremely great at managing a friendly staff. In the countless times I’ve went here or had it ordered, I’ve never had a bad experience. My friends who have moved all over the US still crave the hungover Charlie Kangs that use to comfort us in the glory days.

I love this place and can’t say enough good things about it. I would recommend trying the following: Beef Fried Dumplings, Mongolian Chicken, Kampungi Chicken, Hot Stone Bowl Bibimbap, Kimbap, Soondubu Cheegae, and Kalbee. I have never been let down by this place and I make a bomb korean fusion omlet for breakfast with my leftovers.

This place is the only chinese place in east lansing where I place full trust in the quality of the meat. Also, every time I’ve been there, the staff has been UNBELIEVABLY kind, even if they’re very busy. The food is usually quite good. I would add though that it seems somewhat flavorless and VERY salty. Also, the menu is stupid long. Simply that. If the food was better, it’d be perfect.

Decent Korean food in East Lansing. Service is quick and efficient. We have to ask for silverware and water a couple of times. Portions are large enough to share. Ordered Beef Fried Dumplings, Mongolian Chicken, Kampungi Chicken, Hot Stone Bowl Bibimbap, Kimbap, Soondubu Cheegae, and Kalbee. This was more than enough for 6 people. They only gave us 2 small side dishes. We unfortunately found a strand of hair in the food, however the gave us a new dish.

Pretty good Chinese food if you’re looking for something close to campus. It is 100 times better than rice kitchen or those other fast Chinese restaurants on campus. Is decently priced.
