Came here on a whim and we’re so glad we did! The servers and owner were helpful and friendly… no aloof hipster vibe here! I had the Thyme Collins which was refreshing and not overly sweet. We played Scrabble as the rest of the bar filled up around us… we will definitely be back!(On top of that the cocktails were very adorable, about $ 7…what’s not to like?!)

Great handcrafted cocktails, made with local distilled vodka, gin, bourbon and whiskey. Cozy charm in the main seating area and a larger room for groups. Small plate menu snacks that are a wonderful compliment to the great drinks. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Will definitely recommend to friends and of course I will plan on visiting again!

They know how to make great liquor, a great cocktail, and great food to have with your drink. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere friendly. Good place to play some cards and talk with friends or just catch up. Keep in mind that if you’re looking for a full meal, you should go elsewhere. But if you want good drinks and good small plates to go with them, this is the place to go.

If you’re looking to get drunk and pick up girls, this isn’t your place. If you enjoy the experience of mixology in a nice setting, Red Cedar Spirits is the place. Simply put, best cocktails in mid-Michigan.

Such a great place! Locally owned and a fun stop for a nightcap towards the end of the night. Cocktails are creative and tasty too!

This place is a hidden gem. Literally. It was hard for me to find since my navigator was just as confused. It’s not your typical bar. They serve only their own spirits that they distill there. That means no beer or the usual spirits you may find at other bars. If you want to sample their drinks, you can order a flight. Carmen is a doll. She is very knowledgeable with the drinks they serve, super friendly, and can make some amazing drinks. My favorite drinks so far would be «The Basil» and a «Greyhound», but I also enjoyed their«Cucumber Cooler» and«Ginger Gimlet». I don’t like sweet drinks so I get all of mine unsweetened. They’re sweet enough already. They also give you complementary peanuts, chocolate covered raisins, and these chocolatey mint things — all served in glassware that you may find in a chemistry lab. If that doesn’t do it for you, I would recommend the cheese plate or another one of their munchies. =D The only downside I found so far is that the bartenders really like to stick to their menu. For example, when I asked for a drink with some named ingredients, they didn’t want to «create» a drink. Overall, this is a very chill spot and I would definitely recommend this place to others.

This place is a gem hidden behind Haslett Rd. The service was excellent– very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The mixed drinks were very tasty. You can also get a spirit flight to try all of their liquors. We enjoyed the Mediterranean platter too. I will definitely be back!

We love RCS! As far as cocktails in the Capital-area go, they provide appropriately strong drinks, with fresh and creative flavors that cater to a variety of palates. I appreciate their seasonal menu that seeks to local incorporate ingredients and flavors in tune with changing availability. Right now, I love their basil cocktail with gin and citrus. Their martinis come with your choice of olive — get the blue cheese stuffed olive, you won’t be disappointed. Tucked away but within a reasonable drive, their patio is a lovely respite from the buzz of the city. All of their cocktails are $ 7, which we felt was quite reasonble given the quality.

I used to to go here all of the time to see what was new in their world of mixology. It is a great quiet place to go and hang out. You can also learn a lot from the employees.

Best drinks in town. Very weird industrial area, which seemed sketchy at first, but ultimately makes you feel like you’ve found something special. We got a meat and cheese tray too, which was extremely tasty and well put together. The drinks you can tell are well crafted and thought out. Can’t wait to go again!

Tasting room for MSU’s artisanal spirits program. They distill whiskey, bourbon, rye, brandy, gon and vodka. Amazing products and knowledgable staff, a gem just outside East Lansing. Only open Thursday to Sunday.

Wonderful locally brewed distilled spirits. Try this place out. I’ll be back. Hard ciders, brandies, whiskeys and wine. Great people, too!
