General Tsos was double fried so tough and stringy. Crab rangoon was soggy. And the woman that works there is one of the rudest people I’ve ever come across.

Great food. Their hot and sour soup is very good. The woman who is always there(owner?) is always so short and rude! She barks on the phone, and when you get there she acts annoyed. Last time I was ignored for about 10 mins. Great Wall is closer to my house and much better service.

Absolutely terrible. Got delivery and ordered two combination platters and received no egg rolls. Sweet and sour chicken was ordered but they gave us shrimp. No sweet and sour sauce came. My husband ordered boneless spare ribs and got something we had no idea what was. White rice was given instead of fried rice. We called to complain and the woman was rude and hung up on us twice. My husband was about to drive to the store to correct the problem because she gave us no word if someone would be coming with the correct order, but a guy showed up. Food is not even good. STAYAWAY.

Nothing commemorates a Jewish Christmas more than some Chinese food, so where better to get it than from King’s Garden. My favorite is the lo mein noodles.

Decent Chinese food for take out. I recommend calling ahead. I’ve never been disappointed with the few items I order primarily: sesame chicken, Singapore Noodles(mei fun), wonton soup, and spring rolls. The woman behind the counter is pretty rude sometimes, but I don’t believe she means any harm. I’m just there for the cheap and tasty Chines take out, not to have my feelings validated.

A nice little family run business. The food is great, been going since they opened about 15 years ago. The service is quick. I’ve never had a mix up with my order.

Ordered take out here today, we were satisfied but I wouldn’t say it was best Chinese I ever had. We ordered the house lomein, ribs, wings, pork fried rice, and it was tasty. Nice family running it too.

I came in here just about two hours ago to get some soup for my husband who just got out of surgery. I was ignored by the woman behind the counter. I mean she actually waited on someone who was standing behind me beforre she gave me the time of day. I ordered my soup and she got it without any chitchat but then when I offered my credit card to pay for it she said«Cash Only». I told her I had to go out to the car to get cash and I would be right back. As I turned to leave she yelled loudly«EXCUSEME!!!» like I was going to leave without paying. I told her AGAIN, this time more loudly that I was going to the car to get cash. When I got the cash she then ignored me again for about five minutes and then threw(I kid you not) the soup onto the counter so hard it fell over. Seriously??? On top of that my husband says the soup SUCKS

Been coming here for the past 15 years to eat or get take out. Friendly staff who know my family over the years and remember our preferences. They offer free tea and hot water for customers. Good food and good value.

I tried it 2 or 3 times. Just not very good. I tried different dishes each time with no success. There are plenty of other options in the area. There are tables inside and plenty of parking.

One of my favorite places in East Lyme. I love getting food here because its DELICIOUS, the staff are friendly and the great prices. My family favorites are Crab Rangoon, Lo Mein, chicken with broccoli and general Tzo chicken. My daughter is the pickiest eater and they will make any accommodations! GREATPLACE

Was driving around colchester looking for a late night bite after an intense 12 hour shoot. I stumbled upon this cute lil restaurant which happen to b next door to king’s garden they happ to b closed so I settled for KINgs Garden! As I walked in the place looked closed no one at the counter lights a bit dim so I shouted«HELLO» the counter girl was not friendly what so ever . I asked if they have seltzer and she gave me the weirdest look and said what’s that ? LOl I kNow I only crossed a small border coming from NEWYORK but come on seltzer is international some call it seltzer, club soda carbonated water. It was weird when I went to Dominican Republic bcuz they call it water with gas lol but anyways the food was good tasted fresh my chicken. Was white meat not like in MY sometimes you get dark nasty pigeon meat . I gave up Chinese food for 1 year after hearing some pretty negative stuff about the meat but after nothing being open after 10 in this town I settled for Chinese food and tries to be as safe as I can No mystery meat No pork

I got the sweet and sour chicken combination plater. I Usually I look forward to my left overs the next day not this time. They ended up in the garbage, wasnt worth the calories. It lacked any flavor, so there was really no point.

It’s just okay. I’ve had this place a couple times. Lacks taste. Just seems bland. The place kinda scares me but what Chinese place doesn’t. from my last unmemorable experience i think i’m done with this place for a while. my search continues for a good Chinese place in town.

Mainly a take out joint but they do have a few tables and will bring your food to your table. I had egg drop soup, Mongolian beef and white rice. Food was good. They need to clean condiment containers which were sticky.

I may be partial because this is the first Chinese food restaurant I ate at and I grew up eating at King’s Garden, but I have yet to find better tasting Chinese food. The egg rolls are large and stuffed with delicious ingredients. The menu is large and has something for everyone and everything is cooked and seasoned well. Recommend getting the lunch/dinner special because it’s more than enough food and you get to try sides and main course for half the price.
