Outstanding pastrami sandwich. Best I’ve ever had and that’s comparing it to Katz’s in Manhattan or Ben’s locally.

I’ve gotten food from them twice and both times I liked it for the most part. Most recently I ordered the fried kreplah which is why I give this review four stars because it was delicious! The serving size was quite big and it came with onions on top. The menu says gravy but I didn’t see any the kreplah was good without it tho. The stuffed cabbage was disappointing. For $ 8 it was just one piece in so much sauce that when I dried to dig into it it all fell apart and became like soup. The potato knish was ok. too salty for my taste. As far as I can remember their sandwiches were good and large. This place is kind of pricey but when my cravings strike for the home made taste this is the only place in the area for us to order kosher style food.

Just ordered food from here due to Unilocal high rating all a lie. They are overpriced I Ave a small sandwich I paid $ 15 for! I ordered corn beef and they gave pastrami, the pastrami is way too over seasoned. My boyfriend got the cheeseburger and it was cold and dry. I highly recommend going somewhere else then here, you wasting your time and money.

Food is delicious. However delivery took almost 90 min. Sandwiches are very small for the price

As a transplant from Chicago, I now know what a real pastrami sandwich should taste like. Great service and fantastic food.

The food here is usually pretty good. The reason for the 1 star rating is because I don’t like being ripped off. I came in with a friend of mine and we ordered sandwiches. I ordered turkey with chopped liver and I told the girl I wanted the chopped liver on the side. It was a very small amount of chopped liver. I asked for the check and realized the girl charged me for 2 sandwiches. A dumpy place in Levittown should not be charging $ 24 for a sandwich. When brought it to the waitresses attention she didn’t want to fix the error. No tip for her. Stay away this place is dirty and filthy.

Local go to for the most luscious tender and tasty pastrami. 24.99 lb. makes this a little rich for an everyday, but the perfect holiday treat for the carnivores in my home. Rye bread sliced while you wait makes for the freshest sandwich ever. Store roasted turkey approved by the kid that doesn’t do red meats. Latkes passed muster, both regular and sweet potato. Homemade knishes in few varieties stashed in the fridge for another day! Pastrami Plus — this is how we make the holiday’s bright!

Yikes. Service was great, but their sandwiches are so small… _______________________ Overstuffed Sandwiches, Hot Pastrami — $ 11.99 Pastrami was thin-sliced, tasted a tad better than store bought. Sandwich was not that big. I think I could finish half a sandwich in three big bites. Cheese Fries -$ 5.75 Potato diced cubes covered with two slices of American cheese. There was very little flavor; it was quite bland. _______________________ Great things is that service was wonderful. The guy was so nice, he gave us samples of the pastrami and we were well attended to. They also gave complimentary pickles and slaw. But the food just was not up to par. Four stars for service, 2.5 stars for food.

Small, local with table service that serves up a mean pastrami or corned beef sandwich — looking for some old time nostalgia add an egg cream. As basic and unpretentious as they come, but great sandwiches and kick ass pea soup!

I Loved this place! I was about to head over to bens and thought to do a Unilocal search to find a closer one! And glad I did. I called my order in and arrived 20 minutes later to pic it up! The corned beef and pastrami was incredible! The matzah ball soup was awesome and the hush puppies were perfect! I can’t wait to visit again!

The corned beef and brisket sandwiches were perfectly lean and fresh. Good size sandwiches at a fair price and very good home made potato knishes. We have ordered several times and the sandwiches are consistently terrific.

When my husband and I had a craving for a hot pastrami sandwich during a recent visit to Long Island, we discovered Pastrami Plus. This place is the nirvana of kosher-style deli food! The hot pastrami sandwich was tender, delicious and piled high! Even better was one of their specialty sandwiches — the East Meadow: piled high with succulent pastrami, plus delectable corned beef, Russian and their homemade coleslaw! All were on fresh, delicious Jewish rye! Another winner was the homemade mushroom barley soup: wonderful! My husband, Dad and I were pleasantly surprised! We’ll definitely be back for more! Pastrami Plus offers an extensive array of generously sized deli sandwiches, plus kosher-style hot entrees, salads, soups and sides! I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often and try out more of their exciting offerings!

I see my last Unilocal review is no longer here so I will write another one. As someone else wrote, it could be hit or miss. Last night was a hit. Ordered take out of mushroom barley soup, corned beef, home made potato knish(as opposed to the square one they also have that is not home made), cole slaw and a stuffed cabbage and all was delicious. At other times, I had to throw out the stuffed cabbage(rancid) but they did replace it next time I was there. I think the prices are expensive $ 22 lb for corned beef or $ 10 a sandwich. $ 4 a pint for soup is reasonable but a grilled cheese sandwich for $ 7 — come on?

Ate there for the first time after reading the review. Good pastrami sandwich and comes with a nice bunch of pickles. The deli mustard is good and spicy to really make the sandwich sing! Had some sides also. The Kreplach was very tasty but a little oily from the frying, the sauteed onions on top were good and I liked the gravy it came with(on the side). Matzah ball soup was a little bland but some salt fixed that right up. The stuffed cabbage was in a way too sweet sauce and not worth it. All in all a good sandwich for the money… I will definitely go back. Next time I’m gonna go for the tongue sandwich and potato pancakes-which looked really good!

OMG — by far the best pastrami sandwich ever. It could be a little bit bigger and I wish they had seeded rye but other than that it’s the most tasteful pastrami I’ve had.

I love pastrami, and I never have the opportunity to enjoy it because 1) I’m lazy and don’t want to cook it for myself, and 2) it has a tendency to be on the pricier end of the eating out spectrum, and I’m living the rent life. Pastrami Plus, however, caters to my cheap, lazy self. Many of my closest friends are from this area, and I finally made the venture into Pastrami Plus to check them out. I ordered, naturally, a pastrami sandwich. I believe it was about $ 9(which is well-priced), and it was the best $ 9 I could’ve spent. It was moist(sorry to anyone who dislikes that word), flavorful, and all-around amazing! The pickle that came with sandwich was a nice touch, as well! While I did want to enjoy my sandwich at the comfort of a table, I wasn’t able to do that because it was kind of cramped. The small size of the shop was my only issue, but if you’re coming here on a lunch break and just bringing your food back to the office, you’re golden.

I went with my wife recently to pastrami plus for lunch. This place is a plain looking deli type of restaurant. We ordered a pastrami/corned beef platter and a tongue sandwich with sides. The meat was quite good in fact the pastrami was superb among the best I haver ever had. However the sides were very ordinary and the gravy was terrible. We were charged a dollar extra for fried onions which I felt was unwarranted. Service was good and was responsive and the owner was friendly. The price to value ratio here is slightly above average for this type of restaurant. Considering the experience it may be better to order meat to take out.

Nope. Just too hit or miss. Neighborhood dive place(I usually like that) small crappy sized sandwich. Pastrami is sometimes top notch, sometimes dry and crappy. If you tell the owner he just gets an attitude. It is not inexpensive, but the sandwich requires extra meat or it is wimpy. That is just not how a Jewish style deli should be. Soup is OK. Hot dogs OK. Deserts tried twice over the months both time sitting in a fridge forever and awful. I really want to like this place but the lack of cleanliness, hit and miss food, and on and off again crappy disposition of the staff make it well worth going to Merick for Pastrami King. As I look over my review I see it got 2 stars and 3 crappys. Sums it up well. Marginal meal and value with a staff that is doing you a favor.
