Do not, I repeat, DO NOT hire this guy, because he does NOT guarantee his work. We hired him two years ago to plant arborvitae bushes, 9 total, and after the first year, a few seemed to look dead, so he came and replanted the same bushes, but we were charged for his labor, the soil, and those black, plastic bags to protect the roots. Another year goes by, 2015, and several of the 9 bushes are not flourishing; they are ¾ dead, brown, brittle. This owner stops by after we called him to explain that the bushes are STILL not growing, and he said, «There’s nothing wrong with these bushes!» WHAT? They’re ¾ dead! So, we had a chat, and we asked him, «Don’t you guarantee your work? It’s been two years, and the bushes are STILL not growing, so we would like you to please re-​plant at your cost.» His exact words: «I ain’t buying any bushes for you!» Wow. He REFUSES to make good on his work that we paid BIG money for this little business, because we believe in helping the smaller businesses instead of going to the larger conglomerates. So, PLEASE, I implore you to NOT HIRE THIS MAN WHATSOEVER! If anything goes wrong, he WILL NOT do anything to guarantee his work UNLESS you pay for his labor AND the cost of the product. We are now planning to sue this guy to recoup our losses. What a sham.
