First Class Bagels

I have never seen so many varieties of bagels and cream cheese! Very unique kinds, and all well-​made and delicious. Be prepared to wait on a line most days, but they always have plenty of staff on hand to help.

Waited 15 minutes while counter help enjoyed their breakfast. Still chewing while serving. Always slow. Avoid if you need to get somewhere.

As the saying goes «jack of all trades, a master of none» this accurately describes this place. We bought a variety of things from here this past weekend, none of which impressed us. Everything was stale tasting (dry) from bagles to pastry. The brownie was fresh but more cake like with way too much frosting. They have way to many different things I guess for any one to be amazing. We definitely will not be going back.

Food is good but there’s a couple of negatives that, in my opinion rule out the good. The prices are very high and if you try and order an omelette style wrap, they make you pay for the meal (homefries and a bagel) which comes out to $ 10+ They don’t allow alle cart. $ 10 for an egg white, feta and broccoli on a whole wheat wrap??? Big turn off. Not to mention, the service is like C+ some are nice, others are very rude. ⁵⁄₁₀ times, I’m there 15−20min waiting for breakfast. To each is own, but I don’t recommend coming here. There’s another 4+ deli’s within 5 min drive from that are a lot cheaper and better customer service.

The food is pretty good and the service is ok. Depending on who you get behind the counter they can either be friendly or not so friendly. It really annoys me though that whenever I go which is pretty often I always get a sandwich. Every sandwich comes with a side salad. Every other deli or bagel store I’ve been to puts a fork and napkins in the bag. Not here you have to get your own on the way out. Not a big deal I know but I almost always forget. When I get back to work I’ve got no fork or napkins. It wouldn’t be a big deal if they reminded you to grab it on the way out but they never do. Oh well, but it’s the little things that make a big difference. I’ll continue to go because the food is good and maybe one day they will change their policy on this.

Customer service is TERRIBLE! They are some of the nastiest workers I have ever dealt with. The food is good but I will never come back again. I would rate them a zero if I could.

Don’t know why these guys don’t have five stars. They’ve been at it forever, have excellent bagels, and the guys behind the counter always make my day. Great selection of food.

Nope. Bagels are on the very poor end of the spectrum. The space is large and inviting with great seating, TV’s etc. But that is where the positives really end. The food seems factory delivered which is a real shame. They certainly seem to have the space to do better on-​premises baking etc. This place is fools gold. If you have even moderate bagel standards, you’ll see just what i mean. Go ahead, i dare you.

If you’re Jewish, avoid unless you like to be abused. Food has always been good but get this. Their appetizing catering platter normally goes from $ 19 per person.
Here come the high holidays– how does $ 41 per person sound for a 12 person platter ?
Supply and demand is fine but this is like price gouging during a hurricane. They really should be ashamed of themselves.
I will no longer be going again whether it’s Rosh Hashanah or any other day.

This place has gotten really bad over the past few years. I live down the road, and so we have given this place plenty of tries. We used to always come here for years but now I am going to start finding other bagel places because this place is losing its appeal to me and my family. Situation#1: I get a hungry man special with egg white on a bagel. Egg whites were barely just cooked enough, so they were really wet, sandwich was over flowing with eggs and leaking/​dripping water everywhere. Sloppiest egg sandwich I have ever had. Eggs kept falling off/​out and was very difficult to eat (person who made this seemed new). I’ve since had a hungry man made the same way from other places and they blew this one out of the park.
Situation#2: I come in for lunch, I remembered having a really good panini from them back in the day and so I go for it. They guy who made it took 15 minutes. I begin to eat it and notice the Swiss cheese isn’t even close to melted, and has no mustard on it whatsoever. I don’t know what the point of a panini is if the sandwich isn’t hot enough for the cheese to melt (the guy who made this also was a fresh new face). The last straw was situation#3: this Sunday my mom got a dozen bagels and NONE of them seemed fresh at all. They all had some sort of stale feel to them. They used to have such soft and mushy bagels and these were just hard and stale. This places quality has gone down tremendously. It seems like they aren’t training employees properly. They always have a «now hiring» sign and it seems like they are taking anyone who can cut a bagel in half and ring it up, they aren’t training people on how to make quality stuff anymore it seems like. Not coming back.

This is probably the WORST place of business I have ever been too. I brought in my CCI Service Dog and the person REFUSED to service me even after I tried to provide proof that he was a legitimate service dog. He was so incredibly rude I will NEVER return here especially being that refusing service to a person is DISCRIMINATION. If I was one to sue everyone I come across I would without a doubt sue this place for every penny they are worth. And for anyone who doesn’t know CCI is a Service Dog facility that helps aide US Veterans. So this place discriminated against someone who fought for his freedom. I would never suggest this place for anyone of my family and friends.

Wow! I came to the right place for a bagel, and omelet, and muffin. I ordered the #5 omelet with everything bagel and pistachio muffin. Got a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Portions are huge and nicely priced. Didn’t care for the house fries/​potatoes. But the omelet was phenomenal! Seriously, the best I had in the last couple years.
I had tiger the pistachio muffin. I have never seen one before. It was delicious!

There’s always a long line here, because this place is amazing. Bagels are always fresh, staff is fast but friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. This is hands down my favorite bagel place in the area. Pastries are homemade and huge! And the coffee is always perfect and freshly brewed.

Listen, for all you BEC Lovers, this is a great spot. Used to work in the shopping center way back, and would get different deli sandwiches which were large and delicious. Now it’s all about weekend egg sandwiches. I agree with other reviewers that say for a bagel spot the bagels are a little below average for the area. They have crazy variety though, which is overwhelming-​ly awesome. I basically dream about soft scramble bacon egg and cheese, salt pepper ketchup sanggggwiches. Nothing else will do, when you got that bfast BEC crave.

Ordered bagels for a birthday party at the neighboring movie theater. They were supposed to deliver them by 945– instead I ended up having to pick them up. Order wasn’t ready until nearly 10 and they were completely unapologetic and even rude. The bagels were just tossed in the bag — not even presented like catering. Rude people and poor service
I highly recommend NEVER ordering catering from them.

Their service was horrendous in the morning. The girl behind the counter was rude and obnoxious. Not to add, the food was packaged in a poor fashion. Not to be revisited. Go to «Bagel Chalet» in Commack. Way better!

Facilities in a plaza. Bagel shop has about 10 seats available inside. Woman working at the shop said all bagels and pastries were made on site. I tried the Russian pumpernickel with maple walnut cream cheese. Bagel was on par with other bagel places in the area. Could have been softer. Cream cheese was good. Coffee was also on par.

SO GOOD! Awesome family-​owned place and great bagels. There are a lot of bagel and spread options and all the baked goods you could possibly imagine.
I’ve never seen a larger black and white cookie – would be sizable enough to be a birthday cake.
Very friendly family running the place! You can really tell that they’re a solid community establishment. The next time I’m visiting my family, I plan to come here for my first meal in Long Island!

This is a great Looking Store, they have it all. Bakery, Deli (Boars Head), salads and so much more. So why only 3 stars, it’s a bagel store and their bagels are just fair, nothing great. Very large assortment of bagels, more flavors than I ‘ve seen, but Broadway Gourmet Bagels in N. Massapequa, in my opion, have them beat big time.
