I went to Yokohama for lunch today. The server(may have been the owner) was very rude. I asked for no miso soup or salad with my 3 roll combo meal, just said wonton soup and he said additional $ 6?!? Side wonton soup is never that expensive !!! Never coming back here again.

LOVEYOKOHAMA!!! First of all. For delivery, they are incredible. We always order online which makes it super easy, you can adjust everything to exactly how you want it. They always give us an estimated delivery time of over an hour, and the food always arrives within 30 minutes. It is excellent if you need takeout-FAST. I haven’t had one dish from them that I did not like. I always get the special sushi rolls, as well as their pad thai, chicken w/garlic sauce, kani salad, shumai & pot stickers. Everything is very fresh and delish. The delivery man is so polite and nice every time. With the overabundance of sushi/asian fusion in the area… Yokohama really stands out.

My friend and I had an enjoyable experience here on a Thursday evening. Not crowded with a relaxed atmosphere. The waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The sushi was very fresh and reasonably priced. The Shrimp Wonton Soup was my favorite dish of the evening. The delicate shrimp Wontons in a light broth was the perfect appetizer. We did also have the goat cheese spring roll appetizer and the shrimp shumai. The spring roll was literary just filled with goat cheese– it was very over powering. My friend disliked the shumai, though I am not usually a fan in general, so it was hard for me to judge. We finished with Fried Green Tea ice cream. The ice cream itself was delicious, but the outside crust seemed somewhat soggy. All in all, I would return and maybe stick to traditional appetizers.

This is the best sushi you will find in Long Island. I’d be lying if I said the restaurant itself is nice because it’s pretty weird looking and the layout reminds me of a motel or something… but who really cares about the ambience when the sushi is so many levels ahead of anything else in the area. The restaurant is clean, customer service is excellent, and the sushi is amazing!

As far as sushi goes in the Huntington/Northport area(not the bedrock of sushi greatness) Yokohama is the most solid entry we’ve found. Certainly way better than Nisan and better than the places we’ve tried in the town of Huntington. Well prepared, clean, good temperature and a competitive price. Nice people too.

Good salmon, good service. I’ve been ordering food from them over 6 months and i had only 1 order made wrong. And honestly, wasnt a big deal for me. I always use the app to order the food and is really easy.

Fairly decent Japanese restaurant in East Northport. Started with a house salad which was just mixed greens with way too much ginger dressing which caused it to be rather soggy. Then we had sushi. White tuna roll was fresh but the rolls themselves were quite small. Then went on to the SoHo roll, salmon, yellowtail, tuna and avocado which was good. Also ordered tekka don. The slices of raw tuna were rather thin but they came on top of slightly vinegary sushi rice. I prefer my sushi rice with more vinegar and theirs was a bit plain. Service was very fast and friendly. The interior could use a face lift. Prices were average, dinner for two ran about $ 55. Not my favorite place for sushi but not a bad option.

Tokyo rolls has to be one of my favorite rolls from yokohama. I also love their Kani salad. Both are so good, the rolls are made visible where you can see them. Yokohama is also available on Grub Hub, so they will deliver right to your door. The atmosphere at the restaurant is very calm and quiet. you can tell that the quality of their food is very fresh. I tend to be a little scared to try new sushi places because you dont know how fresh they are, but i have no worries with yokohama. Try it, you will not be disappointed

Id give zero stars if I could. The sushi is really good but the service is terrible. Servers have an attitude and apparently they also decide the amount of tip you leave for them. We received our printed check with a total on it, then underneath she wrote in pen a separate total. When asked what the additional $ 15 was for she explained it was her tip. Mind you, there were only 4 of us. As a server, I’ve never heard of an added gratuity for parties under 7. When we paid with cash and also a credit card(they wouldn’t give us separate checks) she returned with the credit card slip. The tip and total was already filled in and she stood over him and MADE him sign the slip, despite the fact that we didn’t agree with the total since we didn’t agree with the tip. This is highly illegal, and in most states considered fraud. I’ll be calling the BBB about this. We also had to ask for soy sauce, then after its dropped at the table, we have to ask for bowls for it since there were none on our table. Such a shame considering the food was great. I’ll never, EVER be back and I’ll also be telling everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague.

Yokohama gives you great sushi and service for the right price where Nisen which is 2 minutes away, provides a nice interior design and overpriced sushi. I came here on a rainy Monday at 11:30 am right when they opened up lol. Apparently its hard to find a decent lunch spot in East Northport/Commack on Mondays. My friend and I ordered four rolls: Tokyo, New York, Huntington, and Spider. The manager gave us complementary salad while we waited as we were the first customers of the day which was nice of him. The establishment hasn’t been updated since God knows when but who cares!

I’m not a sushi connoisseur but the sushi here definitely tasted fresher than most places I’ve been to. It’s always hard to find a sushi place that is worth it and doesn’t skimp on size. I stopped by to satisfy a craving and I’m glad I did, they have so many choices! The staff is really friendly and attentive which is a huge plus for me nowadays. I’ll be coming back next time with some friends.

Would definitely recommend venturing out here if you’re in the mood for sushi or just generally in the area! They are super generous with portions and the rice to fish ratio was perfectly on point. I’ve also had take out from here for a long 6 hour road trip back when it was warm and when we opened up the sushi in the car, it was still surprisingly super fresh.

I love sashimi and I feel the best way to judge a sushi restaurant is definitely by how fresh their fish is. I came here after work for dinner and ordered mostly white tuna and salmon sashimi. The food came out quick and one it did, I was really happy to see generous slices of fresh looking fish. The flavor was definitely there and all for such a great price! Service was also excellent as servers were attentive and frequently came to check up on me. Will definitely be my go to spot from now on whenever I want a sushi fix!

Got a chance to taste the raw oyster and sushi from here. The oyster with the Ponzu sauce was extremely fresh and very tasty ! I also ordered some Uni and they were huge! I added that to my oyster and boiiii it was the best combo ever! I also had the white tuna from here which was very sweet and huge pieces! This place has a great parking area and relatively big place compared to other sushi place. Their service is great and well definitely come back again!

My favorite sushi spot in long island. This place is not a trendy bells and whistles kind of place, but the food can’t be beat. Everytime I come to Yokohama, the food is fresh and delicious. They have a variety of rolls for every taste bud. My favorites are the volcano, 2008, cajun tuna, Huntington, and mango. The list could go on with the variety. Aside from the sushi, the cooked food is tasty as well. Ive only had it once but enjoyed it.

Great Sushi… but I cant give 5 stars. I’ve been coming here for 4 years. The raw fish is usually outstanding. I eat Sushi twice a week and have tried all the best rated places on Long Island. My friends and I end up here often as it is so much better then the other places. The Sushi Sashimi combo is amazing and their specialty rolls are perfect. I subtract a star because the décor needs updating and I am sick of the waiters with their thumbs in my soup when they serve the bowl. The staff is very nice and friendly. Eaten here over 50 times and I really don’t remember being disappointed ever !!.

Ugh… I used to love this place. My update won’t take long. I came back after over 2 years of not visiting. As I ate my sushi lunch and watched the sushi chefs whack flies with a fly swatter as they giggled I somehow realized I was no longer in love with Yokohama. I like sushi not sushi + flies :(
