First time to Atlanta and I noticed these restaurants everywhere! So I made my husband promised that he would take me to one before we left. Service was okay and I noticed waitresses forgetting things running back and forth. I had to remind myself that this was not California so things would be different and considered okay to do. So I acted like I did when I was a kid and basically«drank from the water hose» without a thought about germs. With that said the food was delicious. Some places serve grits thin and watery but mine were thick and hearty. Hubby enjoyed his salad. Not an IHOP but I did like it better than Denny’s. The price was right and a southern hospitality was great.

Went there yesterday. Had ordered our food and was ready to eat until we saw a roach crawling by us. We alerted our waitress and she stated to us that the cleaning crew set off a bug bomb last night. However, we were so disgusted we just left. Their food is good because I got their food from take out but as far dining in, this place needs an up to date inspection. Also, the employees don’t wear gloves.

I’m rating this a 3⁄5 out of restaurant experiences at Waffle House. I mean, it’s Waffle House — don’t expect much. The chicken biscuits are very filling and grilled perfectly. The hash browns are also crisp and well cooked. Very clean atmosphere but I give it a 3⁄5 because it’s the worst service I have ever received at a Waffle House. The staff just doesn’t care because most of its clientele are college students. They listen to your requests and then forget what you asked for. It has happened on every occasion I have been here. Step it up! Some of us students actually are respectful and tip!

This is not my favorite Waffle House. It is small and dingy — make that down right none-too-clean. The food was not up to the usual Waffle House standards. If you are in the area, there are some better breakfast places at your disposal.

So, my friend and I are not from the south! So, when we drove off the interstate to see Waffle House all over the place, we couldn’t understand this phenomenon. So, we gave in and stopped over. OMG!!! Granted, we didn’t eat all day, and we stopped in for dinner. We ordered two sandwiches, to glass of sweet ice tea, and two waffles, and WHAT!!! our ticket is for $ 9 bucks!!! OMG!!! Not only that our waiter might as well have been a comedian. It was a VERY good time, with good greasy food, and it filled our tummies. If I am ever back in the sticks, I’m gonna look up this place.

What can one truly say about the Waffle House? Maybe that it’s always there for you? Or, that is is like a good friend who happens to get you in trouble and that your parents want you to stay away from? Well, screw that! Give me hash browns that are smothered, covered AND chunked. Hell, yes! (The cheese and eggs with bacon, raisin toast and apple butter is the hidden gem on the breakfast menu – just try it.)
