This coffee shop is a small slice of heaven in East Prospect! Chris has a small variety of yummy healthy treats to eat with your steaming cup of whatever you ask for he will make it and make it AMAZING! He is friendly and so laid back and it’s a relaxing atmosphere. His mother works there with him as well and they are both great AND they make an effort to remember your name so it’s always like visiting a dear friend when you go in!

Here you go, folks, your local alternative to chain coffee shops. Rustic Cup offers a cozy, off the beaten path experience, owned by a member of the community in which the business operates. Kris is an enthusiastic owner who immerses himself in knowledge of the products he shares. Sharing is a better word than selling, because he makes it a point to not only bring in conscientious product, but he clearly loves to share his wisdom with his customers as he serves. While indulging in our beverages, we watched him handle incoming customers with personal interest and individual care, chatting warmly as he filled their orders and taking time to ask what they liked and helping them find the right drink to warm their bellies on a frigid Saturday morning. There is nothing more refreshing than being in the presence of an owner who loves what he is doing. I was with a coffee drinker who started with a cup of the House Blend, and loved the Sumatra she sampled. Not being a coffee drinker myself, I took a taste of that Sumatra and appreciated the depth of the drink. I started with the Velvety Hot Chocolate, and velvety it was. A smooth chocolate with a rich foam and capped in a delicious sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Truly the best ho-cho I’ve tasted! Then, despite the cold weather, I just had to try their coffee-tinged shake. With delish(and also local) Carmen’s ice cream as the base, it was simply to die for. The owner loves to bring in new flavors for his customers to experience, so stop in often for a tastebud journey without compare. Vegan and gluten-free treats are available as well in this thoughtful establishment, and keep an eye out for the occasional day of music to add to your visit. Give it a whirl, you’ll love this place!

This place is a nice chill spot to grab some good coffee and study, do some work on a laptop, or chit chat with friends. The owner is friendly and laid back. The place is small and cozy. I think they change up their specialty coffee once a month too.

The Rustic Cup just opened a month or two ago, a fairly tiny coffee shop next door to a pizza shop, and I finally went there today to check them out. Imagine my surprise to find they serve the best cappuccino I’ve had in years, if not ever. The owner is a very friendly guy who has done a deep dive into the coffee business in a very short time, with excellent results, especially for a location out in the bustling downtown of East Prospect, PA. The café offers virtually any form of coffee you might be interested in, as well as various teas and sinfully good hot chocolate. Muffins and biscotti, ice cream and smoothies are also on the menu, and attention has been paid to making things healthy as well as good. The owner told me he wants to run a «conscientious» business, so the quality is the best available, both in supplies and equipment, producing exceptional coffee. Everything I sampled was great. So, if you’re in the East Prospect area, or feel like taking a drive into the rolling hills south of Wrightsville, check out The Rustic Cup. The café is well worth a try, and you just might find your new favorite coffeeshop.
