This was a last minute lunch stop, it’s Friday about 1pm, there were only 3 other patrons there. Not usually a good sign. There were 4 of us, ordered two brick oven single pizzas, grilled chicken hero and chicken ceasar salad. Server was right there with water and drinks. Food came out quickly and no one had a complaint. Single pizza was big, ended up boxing half of it. Would definitely go back again. Really wanted to try a dessert, but was too full. Maybe next time.

We held a large party here for 75 people. it was a little pricey, so we expected the restaurant to work with us as best as possible… that is not what happened. Honestly the only saving grace to planning an event at this place is the Restaurant Manager, Angie. but one person can only do so much. Her staff gave her very little to no help; it seemed they were annoyed when she asked small requests of them, or directed them to move tables, clear plates. you know. the job. The blatant disrespect definitely transferred over to our guests and several approached me to ask if there was something wrong in the kitchen. One of the owners showed up halfway into the party while we were mingled and having dinner, walked through the crowd without so much as introducing himself and basically was just there to settle up the check at the end. He did nothing but press buttons on the cash register and ignore everything else. When we went to set up the night before as agreed, there were patrons still dining and we had to wait for them to clear before we could begin to set up; a table never left and were very loud, drunk and boisterous so we could only set up half of the room. After about 30 minutes of waiting for them to leave so we could finish, we left since it was getting late and arranged to be at the restaurant an hour early to finish setting up and putting our cake, etc. The next day we went back early as agreed(again) to finish setting up the last table, only to find the doors locked. Staff was 20 minutes late arriving at the agreed time, and had not cleaned up the table from the night before, or swept and mopped the floors. They made us wait outside with flowers, cake, etc while they cleaned up before we could go inside and we basically just let ourselves in since time was running very short. The wine we asked to be chilled overnight that we brought was left out on the table and needed to be submerged in buckets of ice for guests. Wait-staff pushed past and ignored people there to help arrange tables so we had to make sue for ourselves. It made for a very frustrating beginning to the party. We felt ‘in the way’ of the wait-staff for the entire duration who just seemed very annoyed that we were there and they had to work, regardless of the 300 $ tip for 3 people. Something else I’m sure no one noticed but me was, when our noise level would rise due to excitement or singing, or dancing, I felt as though the staff would turn up the music in the restaurants system to drown us out The food was decent, everyone did have a good time but that’s because we have a great time wherever we are. It’s a shame that we wont be going back to this place in the future since we love to throw parties. Again, the only good thing about dealing with the people here is Angie. We took her card so if she ever does leave that place she’s too good for, we can follow her

Twenty min for a glass of water — maybe next time I’ll find the patience to sit and rate the food —

Still my favorite brick oven pizza!!! I grew up in town and have been eating here for a good 20 years. Whether it’s take out or dine in, I am never disappointed. We always go with the margherita, penne alla vodka with grilled chicken and another favorite of mine is the gnocchi sorrentina al forno! Always delicious!!!

Went with about 20 colleagues. Small chairs put tightly next to each other like sardines, while they could easily add more tables. Very uncomfortable. Food was fine.

Great little place with terrific food! It has become our go to place. The best brick oven pizza in the area! Pasta specialties are flavorful and delicious. Bring a bottle of your favorite wine and enjoy!

Love this place! Great BYOB. My girlfriend and I had our first date here and it’s great. Reasonably priced for good food. The food is delicious. Every time we go we get the small order of calamari as an appetizer. The small is good for 2 – 3 people the large would be good for about 4 – 6. I have had their Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Franchise, and Chicken Marsala. My personal favorite was the Chicken Franchise, however I would suggest you ask for it with linguini. I say this because I have had it multiple times and the most recent time it did not come with the linguini, instead it came with vegetables and a potato. Their vegetables and the potato was delicious but not as good as their pasta. My girlfriend has gotten the salmon and their Linguini and Clams. She loved both. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because of the servers. On all occasions we have experienced interesting Waitresses. On our first time date my drink was dropped(it was a can of Coke) the waitress then proceeded to open the dropped can which exploded at our table. It made for great conversation but was a tad awkward. Other times we experienced rudeness and more spilt beverages. Overall it’s a great place and I would definitely suggest it!

I came to this restaurant for the 1st time with 4 others. We were sat at a round table, the waitress never greeted us, simply set a vase of water in the center of the table and walked away. Came back 10 minutes later«are you ready to order?» What happened to greeting your customers first? Never asked us about drinks. Horrible service, just within the first few minutes of being there. Will never return.

Went here after a movie date. It was a weeknight so not crowded at all. Seated quickly. Nice atmosphere — tablecloths and cloth napkins but not too fancy. Simple but diverse menu. We had two apps and split a pizza. The fried calamari was good — hot, crispy and the sauce was very flavorful. The eggplant rollentini was not as good as I hoped. It was obvious that they were made ahead and seemed more like a deep fried croquet that they then heated up with hot sauce and melted the cheese over it. A little disappointing. The pizza however made up for anything else. It was amazing! Thin, light, crispy, topped with homemade mozzarella and sauce as well as our toppings. It really was delicious. Service overall was attentive and prompt. We’ll definitely be going back!

The chicken parm and ravioli was amazing! The service was fantastic. Liquor store is located next door for convenience. And the butter for the bread is soft and spreadable!(A pet peeve of mine when its hard as a rock). We had chocolate and strawberry gelato, they were very good. Espresso was delicious as well. Overall fantastic place with friendly staff.

If I could give more stars, I would! Amazing food, beyond superb service, and an excellent, relaxing atmosphere. Angela made amazing recommendations, and was absolutely hilarious! I wish I lived in the area, because this would be my go-to restaurant EVERY weekend!

I came to Caffe Capri with my old personal trainer from Strong & Shapely around the corner. I would have never noticed it myself. The place is pretty big, but we were the only ones there at the time for lunch. We sat in the glass enclosure part, which was nice because it was a beautiful day. I had a salmon wrap, which wasn’t called a wrap on the menu, a glass of water, and yummy unsweetened iced tea. My trainer had shrimp & spaghetti and hot tea. They brought bread out and it was warm. props. My wrap with fries was really good and my trainer devoured his pasta. The whole thing came out to $ 27 total. That’s a pretty good deal. I didn’t feel like I ate too bad with the half wrap and the fries. It was a perfect amount. I saw a pic of someone’s gelato here on Unilocal before I starting writing this review. I’d love to go back and try some with a cappuccino. Def. a good find.

Great food at incredible prices. The brick oven pizza never disappoints, and everything from appetizers to entrees and desserts are delicious, fresh, and well-portioned. Try to get your beer or wine before you arrive(since the restaurant is byo) — the liquor store that is adjacent to the restaurant is badly overpriced.

Went here for a birthday and it was not the best experience. While not über expensive the place provided us with OK food and lousy service. The food was a 3, the service was a 1, I am willing to write off a waitress learning or having a bad day but what really put the service in the lousy category was the manager didn’t really help the situation nor seem to care all that much. This was a year ago so maybe there is new management but at the time I went it wasn’t very well run. The food should be a little better for the price they charge but it’s certainly not bad. If you are going to spend the money on a sit down meal you can do better than this place.

Met up with some dear good friends here since I was working in the area. The ambience was pretty good but the waitress started off pretty stiff. The place is BYOB so we enjoyed some nice cocktails and shared some good laughs throughout the evening. The menu didn’t have the largest selection but we started with the eggplant rolatini which was devine as well as the mussels which were tasty. My best bro and I got the gnochhi, which I was quite hesitant about. Well I am glad I did because it was delicious. We checked in on Unilocal to get a free gelato and the waitress Angela who at one point did a nice little salsa with the bus boy, TOTALLYREDEEMED herself by bringing out four different scoops for us to share. Overall solid place for a date night or a night out with friends.

Great hidden place. Eggplant appetizer outstanding. For main course scallops were done nicely. They have a spicy calimari that was very different but nice. Service was professional and friendly.

Been coming here for years with my mother-in-law(who is off-the-boat Italian.) Capri has the best pizza outside of Italy and good eggplant rollatini. The pizzas are hand formed and wood fired. These are not your typical NJ pies!

Just went there a few nights ago. The people are down to earth and friendly, and the appetizers were done right and quick. Here’s a break down: Mussels tasted great with a very tasty sauce. If you can cook mussels without them smelling, it’s a good sign! Calamari Mimmo was very good and kicked very hard… A must for Calamari lovers who aren’t scared of a little heat(a little spicy). I had a brick oven pizza that was really good. Very filling and even better the following morning out of the fridge. The wife had the chicken francese, while the in-laws had the linguine alle vongole, and shared another plate. Everyone enjoyed their meal… maybe because I was paying, but still no complains. Dessert was also great… show them you care, check in and you get a free ice cream. I’m coming back!
