I don’t know what it is about health care professionals in the Poconos, but they all seem to be characterized by an indifference toward, and even sometimes disdain for, the people they are supposed serve. I found the Labcorps in E-burg to be no exception. I went in at 3:02 to drop off a urine sample for my 19-month year old with the flu. «I’m sorry, we’re closed,» said the nurse there, despite the door being wide open and the office being active. When I explained that I just needed to drop off the sample, and that the paperwork was all filled out and ready to go, she said that I would have to come back tomorrow when they opened. Seriously, Labcorps? How hard would it have been to throw that sample in the refrigerator? Why not make a little effort here? Just because you’re not in New Jersey, doesn’t mean you have to have a crap attitude!
