When we moved to the area almost 10 yrs ago, we were looking for a place that was close to our experience in our old home town. Tried several places, but Primos was by far the best. We order at least every other week from here. A most to visit.

So I OD’d on Chinese on my recent trip to Pennsylvania. Found some really good hole-in-the-wall places and really satisfied my jones. But I needed pizza to make the trip complete. Lucky for me, an old high school friend lived in the area and was willing to grab a pie with me for lunch on my last day.(Thanks Janine Hyde-Broderick!) When I said pizza, she said, «well, you aren’t going to get what you are used to in NEPA… no Old Forge style and nothing like Sabatini’s or Tommy’s.» I said that something big and foldy, with that grease/sauce juice that runs down your arm is PERFECT. She said she knew a place. Primo’s was new to her but had gotten enough recommendations that she decided it was time to try. And it was a great choice. We ordered a medium House Special(sliced sausage, pepperoni, pepper, onion, mushroom) and grabbed a seat. The atmosphere was typical strip mall pizza… but there was plenty of business coming and going, staying and taking away. This place is very much liked by the locals. The pizza itself was delicious… the sauce was zesty and tasty, with just a slight zing to it. The toppings were still fresh, not over cooked and the crust was crispy and perfect. And, to top it off, the waitress — on her tippy toes — did this balancing act with a stack of like 25 boxes that was just great… very impressive. It was a solid 4.5 but I always round down… not sure what would have made it a 5… perhaps if I tried one of the pasta dishes… but this place makes seriously good pie!

great food fair price. and the wings are amazing with a huge amount of different sauce. if you been there before, then you know what I mean and if you never been there before you are missing out on some really good food. must take some time to try it out. it will make you return over and over again …

Stopped for lunch. Should have gone for pizza. Fish& chips lunch special with wings on a side was mediocre. Fish encased in batter not crunchy. French fries are ok, wings not good. Next time will order pizza. The place is very clean.

Primo’s has some of the best sandwiches in the area. Dinners too. Don’t hesitate eating in or out.

Got their Sicilian tonight and it was 80% crust. The stuff on top was all right, but overall it was a pretty mediocre experience. Might try their thin-crust some other time, or might not.

Glad to have found Primo’s. Went in got some pizza slices and they had a good selection. I ended up getting a cheese, onion, mozzarella slice and a nice vegetarian slice with broccoli, eggplant, cheese and marinara(with strips of crust on top, like an apple pie). I’d definitely get some more pizza from this place, the others around just don’t do it like Primo’s does it.

Being from NJ, moving to the poconos. This is definitely the best east coast — NJ pizza in the poconos! Definitely try it, eat it, love it!
