The family was driving west and was in desperate need of a hotel around the upstate new york area. little did we know that every hotel between springfield and utica was booked for the hall of fame induction ceremony. we finally found extended stay american in syracuse and just decided to book it. all we were looking for was a clean place to lay our heads for the night. we had a big group of 8 and they were able to accommodate us in two rooms for a ridiculously low price. i can’t say much about the hotel since we were just there to sleep and get on our way, but it’s clean, it’s safe and that’s about it. don’t expect anything else or you’ll be disappointed. but, by far the saving grace of this establishment is the staff and their customer service, particularly Berry who’s humor and easygoingness can brighten up anyone’s long day on the 90.

Front desk service is good… The hotel needs some upgrading… Th AC in room is too loud and constantly would wake me up, other wise it would get hot in room without any air circulating… I barely fell asleep and around 11 pm the room above began to use the shower and pipes were so loud, I got up and video recorded the loud sound(which I’ll post here)… Saw someone else’s hair in the shower… A dirty towel from someone before me in the room… As well as when I asked for a fork, I got a fork 45 minutes later and it was dirty(I’ll post picture)…

Tired hotel. This place needs an update. I’m laying in bed now listening to stomping feet upstairs. Not sure what’s with hotels on this road. We had a reservation at super 8 next door. It was disgusting. We came here and paid twice the price. Now I wish I just drove home after su graduation. The towels feel like sandpaper. And the linens stink of dirty old washing machines. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here. Book early for graduation weekend.

Best room you’ll get for under $ 200 in the area. We booked our room for $ 160, which I did not think was a fair price considering the condition of the room. Everything from the sheets to the towels felt overused and semi-run down. The room, and the rest of the hotel for that matter, smelled like stale cigarettes. The place did have a full size fridge and kitchen, which we didn’t really need, but it was a last minute booking on our part so we took what we could get. Yes, I was glad to have a place to stay because everywhere — yes, everywhere — else was booked. I know now to plan ahead for this area. Perhaps it had to do with an event going on nearby. Either way, thank goodness for Sonya who was the sweetest person making sure we had everything we needed including late check out, which was a blessing after arriving at the hotel past midnight. She was very helpful, gave us the free wifi code, and made sure to mention when to get free continental breakfast the next morning(6−9am). That 3rd star goes out to you! The next morning, the housekeeper knocked on our door twice after we told them we were still getting ready(11:30am) and had late check out at 1pm. I understand she had a job to do, but after we said we were still in the room getting ready and to come back in an hour, not five minutes later. A solid 3-star hotel stay. If you need a place to sleep for a night, this will do.

I hate to say this about an Extended Stay, but this was a bad experience! At check in the rooms had reserved for me and another gentleman had been sold and we where to sleep in the same room! So we took the double room, provided that we get our rooms next day. They stuck us in a handicap room and the next day he gets his room but i have to stay in the handicap room cause all rooms sold out! With nothing to use and a very hard way to take a shower! Not very happy with extended stay!
