Well I was in there 2 days later for the poopy seed chicken salad on sale for 4.99. I think you win a prize if you find any chicken in it. 90% macaroni. The place is terribly high for most usual items. The boys in the meat dept. do pretty good job. The place needs new management. Haven’t found a tomato that tastes like a tomato in a year. You would think they could get some decent tomatoes somewhere? The Amish produce is pretty good. I firmly believe some other grocery outlet will capitalize on this poorly run store within a year.

Okay for picking up a few things, but I’ll go farther for my «big» shopping. One thing you really have to watch out for is outdated items. Just last week I found jarred fruit(plastic jars in the canned fruit aisle) that had a sell by date of Nov. 2014! I’ve also seen packaged cold cuts marked down to 99 cents with the sell by date mysteriously gone. These were Buddig brand meats(chicken) that came in a plastic container. On the ones that weren’t marked down, I was able to open the container and find the sell by date. On the ones that were 99 cents, the sell by date was not there. Somehow they managed to remove it. In a few of them, the meat was actually turning a green color. Yuk! As for prices, they’re a bit on the high side, I suppose they can do that since they’re the only grocery store in town. They do offer coupons in their flyer, but you have to spend $ 10.00 on something else in order to use the coupon. Or buy 5 or 10 of something to get the sale price.
