Golden Gavel Auctions

Patrick and his family are very honest and hardworking people and we really enjoy attending the auctions on Thursday night. I have had great success in finding little treasures and would highly recommend attending one of his auctions because they are very professionally run.

We have purchased many great products at their auctions and have to say it is run very professionally and we are very happy to continue to attend the auctions there is great selection of antiques and coins

Why am I NOT surprised that the owner would lie again about the actual events!
Here’s what happened, TRUTHFULLY:
I purchased two bracelets thru Liveauctioneers and called GG to pay with MasterCard. The less than intelligent (#STUPID) office clerk added an extra «0» to the transaction amount and attempted to charge my card for over $ 8,000 instead of $ 800, the actual amount of the two bracelets!
This triggered my CC’s fraud division, the transaction was declined and my account frozen over the weekend!
The following day, I called the owner, Patrick, who was nonchalant and less than apologetic. He couldn’t understand why I was so upset and asked «if this was the worst thing that has ever happened to me»! After much heated discussion, he told me his bookkeeper would call on Monday to attempt to process a different card (btw, there was nothing wrong with the first card, just that it was overcharged by $ 7,500, duh).
But before I could speak to the bookkeeper on Monday morning, a DISPUTE was filed for NON-​PAYMENT! Really?
Needless to say, I was furious! But because this incident would adversely affect my business and MY professional reputation, I reluctantly decided to settle my account with Golden Gavel. I didn’t want to further tarnish my heretofore flawless record and hoped that after receiving payment Golden Gavel would close the dispute, send me my items and go very far away.
The ultimate disrespect came when Patrick/​Golden Gavel, REFUSED to accept my payment, stating that the bracelets were «no longer available for sale» and chose to instead keep the NON-​PAYMENT dispute open, thereby tarnishing my impeccable record, thereby intentionally hindering my ability to bid with other auction houses!
I would steer clear of this crass, money grubbing, immoral firm. With such low character and disregard for decency, I’m certain Golden Gavel is doomed for eventual failure.
