We’ve been eating at Scotto’s since we moved to the area almost 15 years ago. I love to stop in and grab a slice… or two, LOL. It’s consistently good with some of my favorite NY style pizza in the area. Finally tried the Sicilian last week… great stuff. Love the meatballs too. Their recent remodeling inside and new outdoor patio should serve them well.

I wish I could give zero stars. We walked in and despite the fact that there were 4 or 5 people behind the counter, not one person greeted us. We finally sat down where we wanted. We ordered from the dinner menu. Both entrées were awful. Our server asked how everything was and we told her that neither dish was good. The sauce was terrible the chicken was frozen(not fresh) and the eggplant was hard. She sent the owner over who asked if we wanted something else. Now if one of our meals was good we may have said yes but since they were both awful we said no. They charged us full price for a meal that they basically took back to the kitchen.

The restaurant is in a suburban strip mall. One side is the pizzeria, the other side the restaurant. The meal there was superb. The Chef, Connie, came out and introduced her specials. It is like she is cooking for family. The dish she made for me(don’t even know the name, beef and carrots and carmalized onions with fusille) was simply out of this world.fantastic. My fiancé had the veal piccatta and loved it. We shared the chocolate cake for dessert… out of this world. Baked in the restaurant… light, moist. delicious! I had not believed that the previous reviews could be accurate. For dinner… a great place. Our bill was $ 50 plus our tip for a magnificent meal for two. I highly recommend.

Completely revamped, with a new look and friendliness. Makes me feel awful for leaving a bad review previously. Food at Scotto’s is terrific. They’re close by, and are always good for either a quick bite or a sit down meal. Especially now that they opened their restaurant. Completely changing the restaurant, for the better. Can’t wait for it to be warmer out so that my wife and I can sit and enjoy a meal outside on their new patio. Thank you for the terrific food and service!

Several better pizza restaurants in east Windsor. Delivered pizza wasn’t cut. Cheese was everywhere. Clearly no one cared about the order. This place has become worse and worse over the years.

A brand new feel… with delicious, authentic Italian dishes! The owner, and chef, Connie creates the most beautiful and tasty meals. But even more than the cuisine is how you feel and how you’re treated when dining there. This family treats you like your part of their family. Greetings with big hello’s and the warmest of smiles. Definitely go! You’ll be glad you did!

Went on vacation all week and came back craving Scotto’s cheese pizza. There was an issue with the phones so I got my pizza real late. However, the guy who I assume runs the place delivered it personally and apologized. These things happen, so no worries! He didn’t take my money, even when I offered to tip him… So now I’ll just have to give him more business to make up for it AND because the pizza was delicious!

I’ve eaten here countless times… I’m been coming here since I was a kid to my teenage years, and I still come here once in a while, but I usually do pick ups. From time to time, my sister and I will share the chicken cheese steaks(or the regular cheese steaks) with the works along with a side of fries. I love the toasted crispy baguette sandwiching the cheesy meats and savory veggies only when the cheese steak is made well and picked up at a good time. Usually, I make sure to pick up at exactly 15 minutes after I call to make the order as they say it’ll be ready in 15 minutes. Many times, the cheese steak is perfect, but there are times when it’s wrapped in the foil for too long and the condensation of the steam softens the baguette making it less crispy and somewhat chewy. The fries can be iffy too depending on the freshness of the oil they used to deep fry to fries. Sometimes, they come out to be golden yellow with a lovely crisp, but it can turn into an unpleasant dark yellow, which is when the oil is little older. It’s not the most consistent, but the food is usually quite delicious! I also love their fried chicken Cesare salads! Their sauce is special, but don’t think this salad is a healthy meal! The salad is drenched in the dressing and topped with chicken fingers, but you can get grilled chicken instead if you want a healthier option.

Had a grilled chicken ceasar salad from Scotto’s at the recommendation of a co-worker. It was fantastic. Grilled chicken had great grill-flavor, the ceasar dressing is delicious… even the croutons worked. And it came with great bread on the side. A perfect meal!

I must be a glutton for punishment because I keep going back. Well, NEVER again. I have had good dinners here, the pastas dishes are good. But, thats where positive stops. Most staff members are rude, and treat you like your wasting their time. Went to counter to pick up an order and was looked at, then the two workers carried on with their conversation or argument for another minute. Wait time is horrible. Last week, ordered pasta dish at 115 pm. Told 20 min. Showed up and was told coming rite out. The order was never put in and I waited. At 2pm I told him I didnt want and to refund me, I was assured it would be rite out again. 215 I finally got, minus the salad that was supposed to be included. Eat the pizza at your own risk. Slices at counter seem fine, but not takeout. Multiple times I’ve had pizzas with a, not so fresh smell. Cheese was old. I never complained for fear of something else wrong w food. Seems that cheese is not cooled properly or just sits too long. And lastly, cold sandwiches. $ 8 for Italian hoagie. The meats on are ok, but bread is not. Bread is homemade, but better suited for a parmed sandwich. Rock hard. Cold sandwich should be on soft bread, not something that may chip your tooth. Placed has been revamped, new dining area, fresh paint, but food quality has dropped. Everything on menu has been bumped up a $ 1. Done with this place. Btw, waited 20 for my rock hard hoagie tonite.

Went to Scottos on a Friday evening. The entire restaurant has been remodeled. The pizzeria part of the restaurant was bright, cheery and clean. The dining area was very nicely designed and comfortable. The owners and staff welcomed us warmly and we felt very comfortable. The menu had a nice selection and they had three specials, seafood, pasta and an eggplant dish. We enjoyed our pasta dishes which included a salad and plenty of warm bread. The prices were very reasonable which was a nice surprise as well. BYOB. I would highly recommend Scottos and think you’ll like it. I

Terrible food and even worse people. The owners are rude and nasty. The pizza they don’t sell at the end of the day, they save for the next day or two, or even three untill they sell it. I’ve seen them sell a four day old slice of pizza full price to a customer without telling them. They are constantly smoking in the kitchen which is right next to the dinning area. They are super dirty, I have never seen any employee wash their hands. Be careful, the owners are sketchy and I’ve seem them rip off customers and not give them back their full change. I know all of this because I used to work there. I’m not sure how this place is still in business but I’d suggest never to eat here.

The food is good. Not overpriced and the place is decent to sit down and eat. TVs are installed so that’s a good distraction. Staff is not very friendly and almost make you feel unwelcome. Usually I’m not sold only by good product but also the staff has to be somewhat personable but that’s just my opinion. I would go more often for sure. But if you are up for a quick slice that is sure a good place to eat.

At one time, this was my favorite place. I had food from here every week for 15 years. I was a dedicated customer. But once new ownership took over, the food began to change for the worse, they advertised less in the community newspaper and were ridiculously strict with the few coupons they did print. It’s not a bad place, but not there are now better options in our town.

Delicious italian dishes, nice spacious dining area with large flat screens(for those of us who need entertainment while we eat), and exceptionally friendly staff. My favorites are the chicken francese dip sandwich w fries(the fries, oh good god they’re like little sticks of fried joy), and the large sicilian pie with the works. The sandwich is incredibly tasty. Fresh bread, moist grilled chicken, and a savory dipping francese sauce. And, lets not forget about the pie! I wish I could post the pic I took of it — I swear I took a picture of it, that’s how impressive this thing is. The sicilian with the works is just a massive pie, expertly layered with a myriad of meats and veggies, just enough sauce and cheese — and then baked to perfection. My husband and I happily pick off of the leftovers for days, without getting tired of it! Sounds like a commercial, maybe. But, truth be told, I don’t even like sicilian pies. I won’t order them from anywhere else. Favorites aside, I hit Scottos probably about once a week. They’re my go-to take-out in the H-town area. No contest.

Passable subs, under average pizza, and shady area. So many Italian places close by are better.

Quick point of note on this place… the Google Map shows its location wrong. Its further east on Route 33 in East Windsor, not in the middle of Highstrown. Its also off the road just a little bit in a mall that doesnt have any Route 33 frontage so it could easily be missed. Anyway, this place has some excellent pizza and if you get there at lunch time a great selection. The dining room area is an old style pizza place, etc. and we have never ate anything other than just a pizza/sub there so I am not even sure if they offer table service. Its kind of divish in a way, but the food is good. Regardless, these guys make quite possibly the best chicken parm subs in the world. They are fantastic. the right blend of chicken, parm, sauce, roll, etc. Just fantastic. Anytime I am in the area I HAVETO get one. Definitely worth trying if in the area. DEFINITELY!

I was born and raised in East Windsor, so I remember Scotto’s before it had the restaurant. As kids, we went there all the time because my friend had the biggest crush on Tony, one of the guys who worked there.(He knew it! LOL) Besides having a cute guy at the counter, Scotto had really good pizza and cheesesteaks!!! I have so many fond memories of hanging out at this place. Another memory that stands out is the time I had a delivery from them and they brought me FROZEN, uncooked fries. LOL Seriously… they were wrapped in the container like they were cooked, but when I opened it, I saw they were straight outta the freezer. How they made that mistake, I’ll never know! LOL I still stop in from time to time because my family still lives in Twin Rivers.
