Not that you have a choice if you want cable internet in Easthampton — They have a monopoloy, but The internet here works great when it works. When it doesn’t work, which happens multiple times a day, it just shuts off completely. So it’s great, you know, if you never watch movies and don’t care if you’re getting what you pay for!

They should be given a negative 10. Customer service seems trained by pol pot. They are totally unreliable. We have had times when phone, internet and cable tv are down. It takes days to get service back up and running. Its a horrible company — don’t make our mistake and get sucked into their bait and switch. The best way I describe them is these guys suck.

If I could give zero stars I would! This woman told me the technician would take my old modem when they installed the new one when I was moving out. One week later I received a call that the modem was missing. They took $ 40 from me because nobody could do their job. Now, 3 months later they still can’t find the modem that the technician took and customer service keeps telling me I «should have brought the modem in myself.» Well DUH! I would have, but the woman at this location told me to have the technician pick it up! Never using Charter again!

I have a son who is 14 years old and has a severe intellectual disability. I recently discovered that he rented multiple x rated movies without my knowledge. He does not have the cognitive ability to understand that I would be charged for these movies. I contacted customer support several times and they were unable to give me any assistance with crediting back some of these charges, despite my willingness to provide them with documentation of my son’s disability. I will be unable to afford my cable bill and I am a single mother of 4 children with limited resources. I am extremely disappointed in charter, as I’ve been a customer for over 16 years and have never rented an x rated movie in that time, until this happened.

I use only the internet(despite very aggressive marketing attempts to get me to add services). I was getting 30mbps reliably in the beginning. When Charter upgraded recently to Spectrum service in my area, it happened automatically, and I am now getting 60mbps(download) nearly all the time. On a couple of occasions(inc after returning from a two-week vacation), I have seen significantly slower speeds, but a modem reset brought things back to normal. Considering the population of the Pioneer Valley, I find this level of service excellent.
