I’ve been here for dinner a couple of times and was very happy every time. The owners are very nice and I thought the food was quite good — although next time maybe I won’t try to eat an entire platter of jalapeño fritters.

Nottt good– really salty filling in the samosa, seemingly watered down chutney. We’ve been three times over the three years we’ve lived here and every time we say ‘not again’. With no Thai, Japanese, or palatable Chinese options to speak of though, this seems like a good variance after awhile. But every time– the portions are small, the currys’ spices are poorly balanced and meats in them are minimal in size and dry in texture. Drive over to Priya in Chicopee or shell out for Pintus in West Springfield but avoid the Indian food trap we keep falling into here.

After long day at work my husband decided to treat us with Tandori dinner and some appetizers. Food was picked up at 5:30 but I came home at 7and they forgot to give us rice. I called and owner told me that he was sure they put rice and how we ate rice but called in for more. I dont think that was nice. Chicken had not enough spices on and nan was sticking to my fingers. They lost customer

Has quickly become our favorite restaurant. Have never had a bad meal and the owners are so very nice. Am addicted to the mango lasso at this point. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love Gloria of India. The food is amazing and the customer service is outstanding. It is a family owned business and they always take the time to say hello and talk to us. The last time I was there, they gave us a free appetizer while we had a drink at the bar and told us about their life in India. So thoughtful! Really made an impression on me. The servings are great, too. I’d recommend Gloria of India to anyone!

Beautiful restaurant. Lovely food. Delicious. We had chicken saag and gobi paratha bread for lunch. Don’t let the silverware and glassware fool you into lower expectations…(unless it’s updated after this post). This restaurant is Worth a visit.

Overpriced! Their online menu doesnt list prices. Now I know why. $ 12.95 for paneer and mushrooms which was just canned peas, mushrooms(a few) and curry sauce. Over spiced and undercooked rice that was actually hard still. They charged us extra for naan even though the menu states it comes with entrees. $ 50 for three takeout entrees, two of which were vegetarian. Whatever you do order mild or medium spices. The hot is way too hot to even eat and this comes from a person who has been eating hot and spicy her whole life.

While doing the town-wide tag sale we stopped in on a whim for the lunch special; we had the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Dilruba with beverages. We both asked for a ‘medium’ spice/hot flavor level and were very pleased with taste of our dishes. We will definitely return for more lunch and suppertime dining.

Tonight we stopped in at Glory of India for dinner after spending the week watching Bollywood movies and we have to say that we enjoyed the experience. After reading a few of the reviews regarding rude staff we had reservations, but once we walked in we realized that those reviews must have been out of spite. The service here was incredible. The staff was polite, fast and made sure to check in often regarding our meals. At one point multiple staff members came and checked in which was nice. We started out with the mixed platter, Paneer Pakora and garlic Naan which were all delicious. The Naan was fresh and the chutneys that accompanied them were great as well. When it came to our entrées, we bought the chicken Tikka Saag and their Lamb Curry. Both were great and the rice that accompanied it was perfectly cooked. The only complaint we had was that we didn’t have room in our stomachs for the whole meal. In the end the only minor critique was our to go packaging which ended up leaking. They placed our left over chicken and lamb in coffee cups with lids, some of which spilled out the top. That being said, everything else was great!

I am not super versed in Indian cuisine, but my taste buds gave the chicken tikka masala and potato dumplings an easy 4 stars. VERY flavorful, subtly complex overlapping of favors; I was loving every bite. The service was good as well, staff were friendly, sociable, the décor and atmosphere were pleasant. I’ll definitely be coming back. Only downside? Pricey. 10 to 20 range for entrees. Like I said, I don’t know if that’s reasonable for the quality, but my tastebuds were very happy :)

For vegetarian Indian food Glory of India is the place. India Palace in Northampton may have some better meat dishes(and you’ll pay close to $ 20 for those), but having eaten both places 3+ times, for veg stuff Glory of India is head and shoulders above its more expensive counterpart in Northampton. Maybe this is a south vs. north Indian thing? You sometimes hear that veg food is more of a southern specialty; I have no idea whether this has anything to do with it, but the difference is noticeable. In addition to really enjoying the normal menu items here we recently had a special eggplant pakora appetizer. They were amazing… like, incredibly good. Also, I like that Glory of India is not stingy with the tamarind and chutney condiments. The space is a little generic, but the service is friendly. In sleepy Easthampton it’s always easy to get a seat and a parking spot. I’m definitely going to continue to be a regular customer here.

This restaurant has the best Indian food in the Hamptons. Coming from New York City, I wouldn’t consider this to be great Indian food, but when I get a craving for Indian food, this place does the trick. It certainly much better than India House or India Palace. I find the food at India House to be way too heavy and cream and land on the flavors. This restaurant is owner operated, they are very friendly, and you can tell that the food is homemade.

We ate here for lunch yesterday. It was, um, OK. We were underwhelmed at the experience overall. Prices were a bit on the high side for an off the beaten track lunch menu. Portions were small when they came. Food was OK but not particularly good in any way. We live next door in Northampton. India Palace is the standard for what this place should have been. Not India house. It’s sub par, not awful, but not worth another visit for me.

I ‘m disappointed to write this unsatisfied review cause I was very excited to try this restaurant while returning from a long weekend trip. 1. The vessels was not cleaned properly 2.The staffs were impatient & arrogant 3.we ordered briyani, but it was not cooked properly .we just called the staff and said the food was not cooked, the staff replied like every one eats the same food how for you alone it’s not cooked.(THEMOSTDEFENSIVEANSWER I EVERHEARD). 4.Price is more expensive. Just to sum up not worth the money & time

Worst food & worst customer service ever. We were party of 6 were traveling to New Jersey on a Sunday night , on the way had dinner here. vessels were not clean. The Briyani & white rice was undercooked. we told that to the manager, his response was so arrogant that he told us that he serves the same food for everyone .He didn’t even bother to apologize rather he was arguing with us that it was good. We all understand that food can go wrong but their customer service & attitude was worst experience I ever had. I would have given negative stars if is Possible. I would suggest not to give a try. Total waste of money & time

+++ Staff is super friendly. Food is fresh. Really tasty mulligatawny soup, naan, and saag paneer. — Chicken tikka masala tastes overly sweet — almost like a marinara sauce with red peppers and brown sugar, with no cream. It is the weirdest tasting chicken tikka masala I have tried. It is a bit expensive.

I was reluctant to review this place because the owners seem very friendly, which makes me feel almost guilty, but I can’t deny the experience I had. While perfectly friendly, the service was awkward and slow, to the point where our party of three – the only people in the restaurant at the time – had to wait a long time for the check even though our plates were mostly cleaned. The bigger problem, however, was the food itself. I ordered chicken tikka masala(something I always order my first time at a new Indian restaurant because it seems reliable and hard to mess up) at «medium» spiciness, and there were several problems with it: the chicken was overcooked and chewy, the sauce was overly sweet and not at all spicy, and there was no cream or yogurt in the sauce whatever. Now, I’m not an expert on Indian food by any means, but I’ve never had masala anywhere that seemed just like stewed tomatoes in a mild curry. It actually tasted similar to an Italian pasta sauce. Even though I live a short walk from this restaurant, I won’t be back.

Not bad. But not great. I agree with everyone else so far about the pricing. It’s spendy for where and what it is. I would say that the food is decent… But not spectacular. The flavors are good, and the spicing is solid. I do like the Naan Specials, and you can order them anytime.(Not a set special.)

I can’t begin to tell you how amazing our meal was here. We currently live outside of Boston but were visiting family in the western part of the state and went here for dinner together, and I honestly think this might have been the best Indian food I have had to date, and I’ve tried a bunch of places! The flavor combinations were so unique and different from other Indian food I’ve had. We tried an assortment of dishes from mild to spicy, vegetarian and meat, rice and naan. I’m gluten intolerant so I couldn’t have the bread, but the waitstaff was incredible about being prepared to answer questions. Turns out pretty much everything on the menu with the exception of a couple bread-based things are gluten free. Onion bajis, ahh! I could eat them! I was so happy! The dal makhani was out of this world. It had some kidney beans and other vegetables mixed into it as well and had this rich almost cocoa-like flavor. So delicious! The chicken tikka masala was out of this world, and not sicky sweet like some other tikka masala I’ve had. Korma — amazing. Everything was just so good. The owner came out afterward and chatted with us for a while. Such a nice man and I am really rooting for him and this new business! If you live in the area(or even if you don’t), be sure to stop in and have a meal here. SOGOOD! :D

We went here on the opening day and were pleasantly surprised. The food was great not only in taste but appearance as well. It arrived fairly quick, was hot with large chunks of meat(we had chicken vindaloo) and veggies. The staff were very friendly and talkative. There are over a dozen tables and moderate foot traffic into the place. Especially for grand opening day.
