Nostalgia like crazy, great little place with delicious ice cream. Raspberry twist with sprinkles.

Tasty Top is the best!!! Mind you, this isn’t the gourmet hard-serve ice cream of Herrell’s or Mount Tom — but you have to come here for Tasty Top’s specialty which is soft-serve. Our favorite is the vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles. Some might think that its expensive but the servings are GIANT. Come and share and watch a weird golf course thing while you eat it. Great treat to stop for when you’re passing through.

I don’t understand the draw to this place, when there are excellent ice cream places nearby(such as Mt. Tom’s or even Sheldon’s) The ice cream is wayyyy overpriced, and its not even that good. I think this place survives off the locals who remember Tasty Top growing up. Save your money(and your taste buds) and go somewhere else.

Nothing better than a big chocolate milkshake and a jumbo hot dog on a hot summer day. Always crowded, but the girls behind the counter make sure to push through the lines fast. Best time to go is early evening, when it’s cooled off enough to lounge on a picnic table in the shade.

If you’re traveling through Northampton take time to drive three minutes South and hit up Tasty Top… Soft serve the way it is meant to be… Breathtakingly good… nary an icy bit to be found… flavors and toppings ad infinitum… in addition to their soft serve they have a none-too-bad hard selection as well… mind-bogglingly inexpensive… Head down Route 10 just before dusk falls and stand in line with little leaguers, girls in gis, done for the day painter crews, Berkshire vacationers, Smith ladies and tattooed bikers… A fair share of Easthampton’s older population fill themselves up with deliciousness before the summer concerts in the common… follow them there or take your cone over to the picnic tables facing the beautiful mountain line and settle down to watch golf balls from the abutting driving range sail toward the distant gathering darkness… There’s something undeniably special about Tasty Top… the conversation is more cheerful around the tiny cabana and a delightful zephyr seems to play continuously across the lot, stirring the ancient trees that dot the eating area, instilling a near-indefinable sense of a magical bygone era… Closed for winter… if you’re anywhere near Easthampton regularly make Tasty Top one of your habitual summer stops…
