Update: had another meal the Tuesday before Christmas — this time we went for the prix fixe(app/entrée/dessert). Apparently they had a busy weekend and didn’t have all of the menu items; including the coq a u vin. I started with the escargot which were flavorful — friend had the onion soup which was a creamy version but tasty. They didn’t have my first choice — pork loin, so had the roast chicken which was absolutely delicious! My companions had the salmon and the steak — again both were cooked to perfection and delicious. Disappointed that they only had one dessert to offer as part of the trio as they didn’t get replenished from the weekend. On my prior visit I skipped this course but they all looked wonderful so was hoping to have a taste. They offered chocolate bread pudding, which was very good. Another enjoyable meal… But disappointed that they didn’t have all menu items. Will definitely go again.

BYOB — Farm to Table — Dee A restaurant needs nothing but these three items and this place makes the most out of each and every one. What an amazing place for dinner — even if it’s a little off the beaten track; seems to be the perfect spot for this restaurant. We started off dinner with a mussel appetizer and a carrot and ginger soup. The mussel were in an incredible white wine and Dijon mustard sauce that required every scrap of bread to get the very last drop and every bit of sauce. For dinner we had the salmon cakes and the pan-seared chicken. The salmon cakes came a top a bacon roasted lentil accompaniment that was incredibly flavorful. The chicken itself was cooked to perfection. The chicken was plated atop a bed of rosemary infused risotto that was the perfect compliment to the brine of the chicken. For dessert lemon bars and a cinnamon brown sugar cream cheese cake that was fluffy light and incredibly delicious. While the food speaks for itself here the incredible staff added the extra top notch; Dee was attentive, descriptive, and always one step ahead of our needs. Within one meal this has become one of the top five restaurants of the Lehigh Valley; I very highly recommend it.

Yay for a good, French BYOB that doesn’t cost a fortune! We had an early-ish dinner(around 6:30) on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, they were already out of 4 items on the menu, but that happens. Service was excellent throughout the night… food was a bit slow at times but nothing crazy. We liked having the time to linger between courses, and with a smallish kitchen, you’ll have that time. Water glasses stayed full and someone always checked on us within a few minutes of food delivery. That said, I have to admit that I didn’t love everything. We did the salmon cakes & the onion soup for starters… salmon cakes were good but the soup was a bit odd(a very sweet cream of onion type, not a traditional french onion soup). Had I read the menu a little closer, I would have chosen something else. For dinner, I had the short ribs with frites and a baked tomato, which was excellent. My husband ordered their filet au poivre, but they were out of it and substituted the hanger steak instead. They did reduce the price to a fair one for hanger steak, but that said, the hanger steak didn’t do the meal justice. I would have rather had it with another preparation(maybe a more traditional steak-frites). Desserts were amazing, though. I did a 180 from my normal and skipped the chocolate… had some great lemon bars and some little cheesecakes. All delicious and well worth the price. So did I love everything? No, but I did love a lot of it. Looking forward to going back and trying some other things. Friends rave about the escargot and the mussels.

I was initially very excited about coming to this resturant, but ended up grossly disappointed. To begin with, the décor is horrible, the seating uncomfortable, and the atmosphere is non– existant. When we arrived at the resturant there were no servers and it took almost 15 minutes to be seated, even with reservations. There were a total of 2 waitresses in the entire resturant, and neither of them appeared to know what they were doing. We attempted to order some soft drinks, even though there were no drinks listed on their menu, and it took them 20 minutes to serve us water. There were enough of us to order a large portion of the menu items available, including the appetizers. I must admit the escargot and the French onion soup were tasty, but everything else was a disaster. The steak was unseasoned and served with soggy fries, even though it was the most expensive item on the menu. The pasta had no protein and had little taste at all while the chicken dish desperately needed any sort of flavor at all. Overall, the horrible service, the lackluster food and the high price tag was a total disappointment.

Very fine meals my husband & I had here tonight. The onion soup was hands down the best ever! Will return for more delightful meals.

We had dinner at Pomme Verte Bistro and it was really nice. We are French(leaving in the US) so our expectation were quite high :-) We shared the charcuterie for appetizer: An authentic French starter! Some comments = cornichon(french pickles) would be perfect with it — In France we would not serve cheese with charcuterie but saucisson(salami) would be a nice addition. For Entrée My husband and I tried the duck and it was delicious, the meat was very well cooked, the flavor was great. The sides were creative and matched really well. My only comment would be on the spatzle, not the best but the mushrooms were amazing! Our daughter got the escargots and she loved it. The presentation was very nice and the sauce was perfect! For dessert we shared a Chocolate and walnut ganache: a must try! Finally a restaurant that serves gourmet dessert! I wish I could have tried all of them, but we did not have enough room left after such a good meal(and portions are not small as mentioned in another review!). We finished with excellent expressos. As a French person, I’d definitely recommend this place if you want to get a flavor of French cuisine. PS: don’t forget to bring your own wine, a must with a French meal :-).

Had high expectations as was told it was pretty good. Carrot soup was very good. Escargot also good. Our main courses were duck beast, both the duck and the spazle were overcooked — a lot. The chicken was ok, but really, shouldn’t it be? It wasn’t a very special presentation, just chicken. Lastly the service wasn’t very good. The waitress was unpleasant and they also charge for your refills of soda. I find that annoying and cheap.

Excellent food, good service, BYOB. Hidden gem in Palmer township. Dined here in a group of 3 couples and we brought way too much wine so the details are fuzzy but I do think we ordered and shared one of every appetizer and the onion soup. I remember them all being great and the onion soup in particular being excellent. I had the lamb loin and my wife had the salmon and both were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. If you’re looking for a new place to try that offers a unique and professionally executed menu that won’t break the bank then grab your favorite bottle of wine give it a try.

I love this place! The food is great. The salmon is among the best I have ever had. I am a huge fan of red beets, and they have a red beet risotto. YUM! We have been here twice, and enjoyed every dish we ordered. Plus, with it being a BYOB, it is an excellent price point.

Loved the food and the staff was very nice. Place was packed, so it took a bit longer than expected, but it’s BYO so you don’t really notice. Nice décor, and delicious French food.

My wife and I along with another couple had dinner on Friday night. This was our third time here and our friends first. We absolutely love this quaint little gem of a place. The environment is such that you automatically slow down and prepare yourself to unwind and enjoy a fantastic evening. The staff is so warm and welcoming and Tait, our server, was a real joy to have serve us. He was so attentive to our needs and was a highlight in the overall dining experience. The food is so perfect! The presentation is breathtaking. The taste, aroma and texture of the food is so carefully combined. The many dishes that are prepared in house are wonderful. We had the privilege of meeting Executive Chef Tim this time and personally thanked him for providing us with a meal to remember. I highly recommend Pomme Verte Bistro for an evening out, to get away from the high paced rat race of everyday life! Come away and enjoy. Leave your phone in your car, bring in your favorite beverage and prepare yourself to reconnect with that favorite someone!

Please note: I attended the Grand Opening of Pomme Verte Bistro which is why the photos of the menu are probably very different than what they look like now :) What a wonderful little hidden secret this restaurant is to the community of Easton! I had heard of the grand opening and wanted to have a dinner out with a girlfriend of mine. We chose to come to Pomme Verte Bistro. Upon entering, you feel like you are walking into the season of Spring. Bright colored walls and open space. Knowing full well it was opening day we were prepared for a few bumps and issues with the service. To our surprise everything was perfect. The server was quick, knew the menu, brought drinks and made suggestions. From the Prix Fixe Menu: Course One I ordered the Marche Salad. The salad was crisp and delicious. The dressing was just enough to give it taste, not overly saturated. True to the Bistro’s name, there were slivers of green apples. Course Two I ordered the Pan Roasted Chicken«Coq Au Vin.» I can’t rave enough about this dish. The chicken was moist and cooked to perfection. The sauce drizzled on the side was amazing as well as the red wine braised potatoes and cous cous. The portion was a perfect size for dinner. Course Three I ordered the Green Apple Tarte Tatin. I apolgize there is no photo of this because I devoured it before I could take one. Crisp, tart and amazing. I’m not normally a fan of green apples. But after having them in the salad I thought I would continue with the theme. The dishes are exquisite upon being served. The taste of the meal did not fall short of expectation. We were also pleased to find it is BYOB… or BYOW as my girlfriend and I like! As I read more reviews I’m very happy that others are still pleased with this place. I will be back within the next month to try another dish!

Was looking for a good, fresh, non-chain restaurant while staying in a hotel for work while visiting Easton. Luckily Pomme Verte was down the street. I travel 9 months out of the year for work and eat at many restaurants, this place will leave its mark in my memory! Great food, great service, lovely atmosphere.

Fantastic food, great staff and décor with wife and two young kids after a long week! We walked away stuffed and had the fortune of trying out 2 of their 4 unique desserts. New hidden gem in Easton, PA. Nice job! Yeah, we’ll be back.
