I agree with the previous Unilocalers. This place is a hole in the wall, but don’t be confused– it’s fire! I’m not one to make a laboratory inspection, but I couldn’t help to notice it was SPOTLESS. The food was delicious. I got an order of flautas with rice and beans and my mom got pescado enchiladas. This was a really nice trip. The service was great and the two gentlemen were extremely helpful, fast, and efficient. I’d definitely come back. Leave your judgement on the sidewalk and take an open mind approach.

I found Ranchito from a Google search for local restaurants that serve mofongo. I’m so glad I did. The quality of food here is excellent, the recipes are authentic, and both chefs are incredibly friendly and professional. The amount of food you get for your money is very impressive, and the prices are great. I’m trying a little bit of the menu each week during my lunch breaks, and am looking forward to the expanded menu being released in 2016. If you enjoy Puerto Rican and Mexican cuisine, definitely give this place a try. While the interior is not that great, don’t let that keep you from trying the food. It’s great!

Great little spot. It is a hole in the wall but these places are always the best so don’t let the look of the place turn you away. The two chefs working were incredibly friendly and prepared an excellent meal for my coworker and I. The prices are very reasonable and they accept credit cards. I am very happy we decided to go here.

Disgusting! Worst«enchiladas» I have ever seen and tasted! They didn’t have guacamole even though it was on the menu. A terrible experience!

Actually 5 stars is too low a rating… For a moment I forget I am in Easton, PA. While this place is a hole in the wall it by far served the best AUTHENTIC Mexican and Puerto Rican food I have had in a very, very long time. The funny thing is the the owner is Guatemalan. Everything is made FRESH. His red sauce for the chips was nice and SPICY… dangerous without beers! Guess can’t afford the bribe to get a liquor license. I had the roasted pork = carnitas/pernil which was nice and moist and perfectly seasoned. The pico de gallo I ordered with it was SOFRESH, wow! The tostones came with freshly chopped garlic… out of this world. Can’t wait to eat here again. Just wish I had this place back in New York; I’d be a regular in a heart beat. As I have eaten at over a 100 different Mexican restaurants throughout the country this place just took 4th place in my all time favorites…

Fantastic food. Great service. Very authentic cuisine. The owner and chef really knows what he’s doing and is extremely warm and welcoming. I tried both the Mexican and Puerto Rican cuisine and it was all delicious!

Saw all the great reviews and had to try for myself — had the pork mafungo and it was delicious. Can’t wait to go back for more.

Awesome guys who take pride in their food. They were disappointed that I was taking it to go because they wanted to make sure I liked it. I actually called to let them know it was delicious and they were exuberant. Don’t judge it by its façade(or lack of). Food this authentic needs no atmosphere. Neighborhood is seriously sketchy at night so keep it in mind before venturing alone.

Would never tell the food would be as good as it was from the front of the building. Fantastic and authentic Mexican food. All home made down to the sauces. Loved it!

El Ranchito is the ‘real deal’ as my old man used to say. We’ve ived in Easton for nearly ten years and breaking bread, or should I say tacos, with Douglas the owner and Elmer his brother is like having a meal with family or friends. Authentic, well seasoned and fresh dishes fill your plate… oh and make sure you order a couple pastelillos, wonderful crispy pastry wrapped around chicken or meat and laced with cheese. From the outside it is unassuming and at first blush some may not want to venture in. But it is their loss! I like to think of it as walking into a neighbor’s house just as they are sitting down for dinner and they insist you join them. I’ve brought a lot of folks across their threshold and none have been disappointed, instead, delighted. Sit down, to go, doesn’t matter, you’ll love it. And if you have some time to kill stop in and grab a quick game of checkers with Douglas. Theresa’s bo

El Ranchito, to me, was like a breath of fresh air in the Latin food department. Since my recent move from California,(Latin food capitol of the Nation, in my honest opinion ;) I have been unsuccessful at finding some semblance of Latin food in the Easton Area that didn’t have a «BLT Wrap» or «Chicken Tortilla-strip Salad» as it’s staple. Sorry people, but REAL Latin americans don’t prepare these meals for each other, even on their worse days! But I digress… I called these guys on a whim, at around 8:25pm, and Douglas(who I later discovered was the owner) picked up, and was extremely friendly. Almost like when you call that family member’s house who always has people over, and makes you feel like it’s never a bad time to come by. He was spot on. I asked him what time they closed. He said they closed at 9pm, but I can stop by at 9 if I wanted, they would still let me in! My mind was made up… we were gonna venture out and try this Mexican/Puerto Rican restaurant. We were immediately greeted by Douglas and his brother Elmer. These guys are down to earth, friendly, and accommodating. The place is a typical ‘hole in the wall’, but very neat and clean. You can see the whole kitchen area, so no need to worry about wondering if things fell on the floor. It’s all pretty open. As a matter of fact, the kitchen was spotless. I had the Carnitas Burrito, my girl had the Taco Salad(which was huuuge). The Carnitas were soo tender! The food was fresh(even for 9pm), and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be paying this place another visit in the near future…
