Higginbottom Orthodontics

I recently visited Higginbottom Orthodontics for a consultation about Invisalign braces. While I’m convinced that these Docs are perfectly qualified and experienced for the procedure, I was not happy with their office layout and treatment environment. Three orthodontists (father and two sons) appear to be treating patients at the same time, all in one small room. Three dental chairs are lined up in a row right next to one another «beauty parlor» style. That type of clinical environment does not work for me. Off to the side there is one private treatment room, but I was not assured that it would be available each and every time for the many visits that will be required for my treatment.
I think these are good guys. It’s heart warming that the two sons have followed their father into the dental field. As the number of Docs working there have increased, they may want to perhaps consider a larger office space. It’s not unreasonable for their patients to expect a reasonable level of privacy, dignity and professionalism during treatment.

I had a very professional, warm, friendly consultation about a rather unusual dental situation I have recently experienced. Many dental practices I am sure would have seized the moment to suggest all kinds of expensive and long term adjustments to fix things for me. In this case I was told that, even though, adjustments could be made, they didn’t think they were warranted at this point in time. When I asked how much I owed for this extensive consultation, they told me it was at no charge and wished me well. This kind of good will service is almost unheard of in today’s profit driven world. It is really nice to see that «Golden Rule» is still alive and well in the Higginbottom Practice!
