As you may know, I have made it a personal mission to eat and review all the cupcakes.(You’re welcome.) This place is adorable. Okay, the teenager staffing the counter was a couple of tsps shy of a tbl, but I went with a basic chocolate cupcake with Oreo frosting. I gotta tell ya, my expectations were not high for a place in a strip mall in East(bumf*ck) MD. It was perfect. Dense, moist and rich cake, not overly sweet. The frosting was creamy and light(I mean, as frosting goes) with delicate sweetness that actually allowed me to taste Oreo and not just sugar. If I could have found a way to casually stroll back in and order a dozen while stuffing the one that I already HAD in my mouth without looking like a pig, I would have.

After lunch down the street, I craved ice cream on a hot July afternoon. I found Kilby’s farm fresh home-made key lime ice cream, «to die-for category!» This was a five star finish to my lunch in Annapolis.
