Mabel’s Bakery has been around in the Easton Market Square since ’11, and they offer a variety of baked goods such as cakes, pies, cookies, muffins, breads, and cupcakes. The owners are a granddaughter team, Vicki Sump and Dee Rhodes, who uses their grandmothers’ recipes and infuse them into the baked treats they create. When I stepped in, the place was adorable, with the pink walls and décor — there is some limited seating inside, set up kind of like a café. The two glass bakery cases held different types of pies and cakes, a platter of chocolate-covered strawberries were available, and little glass domes full of brownies and cupcakes were on the counters. I wanted to try a cupcake, so I had their Shirley Temple, which seemed to be one of their specialties. It was a white cake, filled with chunks of maraschino cherries, topped with an overly-decadent and generous spread of pink-tainted frosting, topped with a maraschino cherry and some little spherical red perils. The cake itself was very moist and fresh, and I, a maraschino cherry fan, appreciated the little chunks throughout. However, the huge glob of the frosting was just way too much, but I’m sure for those who are frosting fanatics will love it! I really liked their individual plastic cupcake containers as it fits their cupcakes perfectly without any smearing of the frosting: D The service may not be the most friendliest, but it was very straightforward and no-nonsense. I would like to come back and try out their pies as well as their famous apple dumplings(which they were out of)! +Cupcake flavor of the week(sign once you enter) +frosting is overly-generous(!!!) +great individual plastic cupcake containers that fits their cakes perfectly: D +pies, brownies, and breads available +located across from Mason’s +limited restricted street parking

Wow just picked some cupcakes and had to say the lady working was not friendly at all. We were in town celebrating our wedding anniversary and it was really disappointing how unwelcoming we felt when we walked in. No «hi», no «how are you», just straight«can I help you». Hope the cupcakes taste better than the service but not expecting much since my expectations are already low.

Itty bitty bakery in downtown Easton. My mom and I stopped by to get a treat after we had lunch at Masons. The inside of the bakery is very PINK which is adorable. I ordered the carrot cake cupcake that the young woman behind the counter said was her favorite, and my mom had the devils food cupcake. My mom was not too pleased with her cupcake, though she is sometimes a bit hard to please, especially when it comes to food. My cupcake was alright, but I didn’t feel it was anything exceptional. My husband on the other hand, we took him home two apple dumplings and he was SOSO happy! He said they were amazing! So if you go– the apple dumplings are a hit at my house. Also– if you use a credit card you have to spend at least $ 10

A small little bakery in downtown Easton. My wife and I stopped in to grab a little treat and shared a butterfingers cupcake. It was a standard sized cupcake, moist, and not overly sweet. They had a handful of cupcakes to pick from, but they also had cakes, pies, cinnamon rolls, and breads. Cupcakes were reasonably priced at $ 2.50 a piece. If you are looking to use the bathroom here, you actually have to go out back to a small little«outhouse» attached to the side of the building. Definitely a bit cold in there during the winter! Service was OK, but not overly friendly.
