We go every year to maple tree row farm to cut down our own tree and we absolutely love this farm. The experience is magical. Bundle up enjoy a hayride to the trees, tromp through the fields to find your perfect tree, kids and dogs running amok and having a blast. What could be better? You saw and tag your tree and drag to the end of the row and its carted down by the tractors. We visit the oxen and grab a cup of hot cider and sometimes a donut. There are wreaths and decorations for sale as well. It’s not overly touristy but very well run. Then you find your tree and you tie to your car, drive out and pay on the way out. If it’s not freezing cold, tailgating is a great experience with friends. We absolutely love this farm and will be back year after year with our kids and grandkids. Also, fyi there was one year in the past 12 that we got a bum tree, absolutely zero issue getting a replacement after bringing the top 3 feet and the receipt. They are a top notch farm and I highly recommend them!

Great time, even more fun with snow on the ground! Been going here for years and have yet to be disappointed. More expensive than Home Depot but its about the experience. Tailgating recommended!

Awful customer service to start. Last month I ordered 6 yards of black mulch and had them deliver it since our company trucks were all busy at the time. They were close to the property we were working on at the time so I wanted to give them a try. When I showed up to the property I had the mulch delivered to I immediately noticed that there was not 6 yards of mulch. The pile was clearly untouched taking out the idea of anyone stealing the mulch. We measured the minimal pile and we only received 3.4 yards. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the mulch had a lot of dirt and stones in the mulch as well. Before I even touched the pile I took time out of my day to go and talk to them. This is where everything went down hill. I told them my two problems and was told this: 1.) We only estimate the amount of mulch and do not measure it 2.) They«guaranteed» me that there was only wood chips in their mulch As I showed them my receipt I saw that they charged me the«home owner» rate and not my «Landscaper» discount rate account that was previously set up. I was then told that: 1.) They do not give refunds 2.) They will not deliver the remaining 2.6 yards of mulch that I already paid for 3.) They will not give me any credit for the over charge or the missing mulch The following day we spread out the terrible mulch. It was so bad that I even pointed it out to the homeowner. They were discouraged and I offered to remove all the«Maple Row, guaranteed dirt and debris free mulch» and bring in quality mulch from other farther distance companies. I did this free of charge. In the end Maple Row cost me $ 700 between mulch cost, labor from removing the old mulch and my time dealing with their terrible service. BUYERSTAYAWAY!!! Many other quality companies to purchase mulch from. Maple Row only cares about making money!!! They are more expensive to much worse quality!

First time visitor. It’s 10 days till Christmas and our usual tree farm sold out. Maple Row has acres, upon acres of trees. Plenty of quality trees left, even this late in the season. This farm is very organized and helpful. Large staff… didn’t wait long for a worker to drive up and help us load it. We were in and out in 45 min with a great tree! Oh yeah, it’s one flat fee of $ 65(weekend) for any tree that you cut yourself. Credit cards accepted.

Lots of fun. Love sawing down the tree. Lots of cute dogs and families. Very crowded, but the crowds are not so bad once you are inside. Hot chocolate, Apple cider, and donuts are typical and nothing special. Would give it five stars, but the girl behind the counter was moody and not so pleasant and the lines were kind of long. This place is cash or check only, so be prepared.

I had to give a star in order to post this review. Extremely generous. They say pictures aware worth a thousand words and so I will let my pics write the review for me. I will say that I wrote to the farm before I wrote this review to give them the chance to do the right thing for a customer. And instead Scott said he was saddened that I had such a bad tree and he referred a ny times article for me to read on different types of trees and how they were going to stop selling these trees. Guess that just sucks for me! Then he tells me if I send him a pic of my receipt he would«see what he could do to make it right». Well I sent him that pic of the receipt and guess what? Scott never wrote back! Great product and customer service Maple Row! I don’t write bad reviews. But this really upset me. We will continue to keep our tradition alive and cut down a fresh christmas tree but I will never return to this farm. Buyer beware.

Nice place to get a tree. Not cheap but where is in Fairfield County. Tailgating for your Christmas tree. There are corporations that have huge tents and parties for tree cutting. Massive fields and great trees of all kinds. We’ve made it a family tradition. Tailgate with cocoa, lunch or a late brunch, or even a few beers or shots to stay warm. On a nice day you can’t go wrong.

Believe it or not, there were people tailgating in the parking lot to buy their trees! I’m talking tents, mini-grills, beers and hot cocoa… I don’t know why I never saw(or thought of doing) this before! Outstanding! I am truly amazed at the seriousness of Connecticut folks when it comes to finding a tree!
