If you’ve been to the BSC on the South side of Bethlehem, you know that their breakfasts and lunch are«spot on». Their new location in Easton seems to be on the same page. I posted pics of what I had(southwest Hollandaise and a blueberry cobbler pancake) and they were both delicious. Coffee is great as well. I suspect once the word of the Easton location gets out, the place will start to get packed the same way BSC Bethlehem gets. It’s real easy to get to and by going on Saturday morning, I got to stop by the Easton farmers market as well right down Northampton St. Enjoy!

Was expecting more, the atmosphere is so cute but the service was so poor it was almost funny. The server came out and smoked a cigarette next to me Right after serving me my food, I told him i wanted fries and soup; he brings me fries and beer. No soup, and comes out randomly to give me a cheesesteak on the house(im assuming because it took over an hour for my fries) but this is after i told him im a vegetarian??? If I come back it will be because I have all afternoon and I want to laugh.

Several friends and I dined here for the first time on a Saturday night. Our reservations were for 6:30, and we were seated promptly. It helped that there were only 2 other full tables at the time. It was rather empty all night. We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees. Nothing really stood out as spectacular, but it was all decent food. Except for the mashed potatoes, which had an odd, too-sweet taste. The major issue was the service. Our waiter was okay, but was slow in delivering everything(which made no sense because they weren’t busy at all), and made a few errors on our order. He was shadowed by a bus girl, who seemed to have absolutely no idea what she was doing. She just kind of stood there, until we guided her into giving us silverware and napkins(which we organized on the table) or handed her our used plates and glasses. The waiter pretty much ignored her. Due to the overall lackluster experience, we won’t be returning.

Mediocre food, severely poor service. A better trained wait-staff might have upped this review to three stars, but that would have been a stretch. To be honest, two stars is generous. Some highlights from our service: My wife ordered a steak, he mentioned that the chef recommends mid-rare. My wife, who knows what she is doing with a steak replied that she would rather have it medium. This jerkoff replies that he will put it in mid-rare anyway. Wait. what? Right, so. We ordered a caesar salad to share. His reply? «I’m going to put it in for an entrée size. It will be a little extra but that way you’ll have enough.» Ok… fine. This kid knows the menu, right? Wrong. The salad that came was so large all four of us(including my mother-in-law who ordered the same salad at the app size) could have eaten it. He ended up taking away a half-full plate. Waste of food, waste of money. Alrighty then… he then mentions that he will bring out entrees out… with the check? What? Why? Did we ask for a check? Would we want dessert? Okkkkk. So entrees come. Now, I ordered a jerk chicken. My fork is covered in salad dressing. This isn’t Applebees, so I should get a clean fork, right? Wrong. So I asked for one… there was a record-scratch-look on his face and I was brought an entire full roll-up. No, numbnuts, I didn’t ask for a napkin & fork & knife… I asked to me misse’d. You know… misse en place, that really basic dining concept? Moving on… entrees come with our check, as promised… the check presenter open, standing up, in the middle of the table. Because we want to eat dinner with that in our faces? He then proceeds to ask me three times in the course of ten minutes if I would like another beer. Even if I did, at the point, would I say yes? This kid was clueless, rude & poorly trained. The food wasn’t much better. Jerk chicken was so overspiced it didn’t taste like anything. Rice pilaf on the menu apparently means sticky white rice. That was for all dishes we ordered that called for that. And yes, the entrée says it comes with mixed greens, but since I ordered a gigantic salad for an app, wouldn’t you think to ask me if I wanted, perhaps a different vegetable with my entrée? Nope. They wouldn’t. A steak with chimmichurri sauce came slathered in something more resembling a chimmichurri paste. That’s not chimmichurri, fellas. At the end of the meal, which came quickly, this numbskull of a server finishes by saying«Enjoy the show.» What? What show? Did we say we are going to a show? Did you ask? Why would you assume? Again… poor, poor training. I don’t think this needs a summary. It needs to be crossed off the list. But judging how absolutely dead they were on a Saturday night, it won’t be there for long.

I ate there after a show. The food and service were decent so I’m giving it 3 stars but i was seriously considering 2. The restaurant annoyed me in that the dessert prices were not posted on the menu and I felt they should have been given the high price for dessert. Since this was a ‘café and grill’, and not the 4-seasons, I ordered without asking the price. I was really surprised when i got the check and the desserts were $ 7.50 each(we ordered 3 of them). I thought this was quite overpriced and I was a little ticked off. They weren’t even that great or that big. More like some kind of frozen desserts you’d buy at a restaurant supply. If they are going to charge such a ridiculous price they should have the decency to post it on the menu. Then the customer can decide whether to order or not. I sent them an email about it, but they did not respond. I would not go there again. Sometimes it’s these simple little things that can just turn you off.
