Heading home from the beach and stopped in since I knew they carried National Premium, since was on the big sign. Went in and did not see it, so I asked the clerk. Was told it was in the walk-in. Here, you go into the beer walk-in to get cases of beer. I had not been in a beer walk-in, since I worked a beer store many many moons ago. Going in there was like Christmas morning. Picked up the case of beer, paid for it, headed out the door, and then I was back on the road. The clerk was nice to me and they had fine selection of adult beverages.

Philip is da man. Incredible knowledge of wines and regions, and most of what he stocks is small-lot stuff you won’t find in your normal vino store.

Great liquor shop. Excellent selection of spirits and wines, and they are more than happy to special order anything you might not find stocked. Well kept clean and friendly staff.

If you are lookig for good wine, do not be put off by this small store in front of a motel that looks to rent by the hour. Close your eyes and walk to the back of the store and introduce yourself to Philip. This is the best wine shop on the Eastern Shore by a long shot. The wine guy, Philip, is the best I have ever seen. I have bought lots of wine in Dallas, Aspen, and San Francisco and he is by far the best merchant with whom I have ever dealt. Philip is knowledgeable and opinionated in a nice and professional way. That helps because it gives you the ability to understand where your tastes agree and differ with his. If you spend the time to develop a relationship with him so that he understands your tastes and preferences he will become your best asset in finding great wines at great prices.

Not much to expect from a little liquor store. I was excited they had Fordham’s Spiced Harvest Ale. I love all things pumpkin
