Company’s initial sales pitch was honest and fair, with zero pressure. Team, including company owner, came out to inspect the house and perform an exceptionally thorough energy audit on entire house for free.
They improved much of the house, including adding insulation, replacing old/​inadequate insulation in the basement, replacing the windows, sealing cracks around the fireplace, adding a removable stop to better seal the fireplace when it was not in-​use, sealing a large open area in the basement’s ceiling that was pulling heat, resealing a pipe from the furnace that could leak CO, etc.
My only complaints were:
1. it took MONTHS to get the salesman and internal-​numbers-​person to coordinate with each other to send in our documentation to the IRS in order to get tax credits for the improvements. They both kept saying «talk to the other guy,» yet they both worked in the same office. It should not have been that hard for the two of them to get together and call me.
2. one of the installers cut into my deck without asking in order to install a window. I would have consented, but I was upset he did not ask first.
