Slow, lazy days filled with beach walking, fire pit talking, rowing to Peanut Island, ping pong and horseshoes, hiking Mt. Constitution. Internet connectivity is elusive enough to keep your focus on the family with whom you came to connect

We stay in Cabin One, and love this place. No phones, no t.v., no internet. Really you have to be really wanting to GETAWAY from it all. Cute log cabins right on the beach, you have to do your own housekeeping there. Long walks on the beach and old growth forest, . We usually go in March, so they have the wood stove fired up so it’s all cozy and warm. When we feel like exploring we head for Mt. Constitution or jump on the ferry to one of the local islands to explore. There is something special about a place where you can hear the water outside your window, hear the breeze through the trees, sit and watch the birds and maybe boats in the distance… complete peace and quiet. Careful with eating on the deck, we had put two pieces of pizza out and went in to get something to drink and found a bird having a spectacular meal… LOL. It was so funny, probably not good for the bird, but we had a really good laugh over it.

…besides the incredibly weird smelling and scratchy towels and bed that made my back hurt, this place was awesome! So next time I might try a different cabin(I was in #1) and bring my own towels — no big deal. The views are great and the prices are reasonable for the view and location!

This particular resort is privately owned, and I love the customer service aspect. You can really tell that the owners here care about their visitors and want to make each visit special and memorable. My family stayed here for one night to try it out and we enjoyed every minute of it. We loved waking up to the sound of waves crashing against the shore. The cabin had a lot of things that we did not need to bring such as cookware, paper towels, etc. If this place wasn’t so popular and booked all the time, we would go there more often!

My husband and I went here for our 10th wedding anniversary and babymoon. It was absolutely incredible. We got a 1 bedroom cabin right on the water. It had a picnic table outside, that would have been perfect for outdoor dining, but it rained the whole time. Anyway, one of my favorite features of the cabin was the kitchen. It meant we didn’t have to go out for all of our meals which meant we could save some money. We could shop locally and eat locally too. It was quite small, but another feature I loved was the wood burning fireplace. It kept the whole cabin nice and toasty. One of my favorite memories is laying on the couch and going over baby names with my husband. Do not miss out on this place. It is full of magic(otters tried to break into our cabin) and peace. If you want a vacation where you can literally unplug(no internet, no cell phone reception, no tv, no phones), then this is the perfect spot for you.

I love this place. It is quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for an elegant 5 star place this is not for you. But for those of us love rustic and nostalgic, this will be exactly what you want. The cabins are original log cabins from maybe the 30’s or so. And they are what you would expect. Altho there are a couple newer ones, but I have not been inside those.

One of the best kept secrets on Orcas — private cabins right on the beach. Boat rentals. nature trial, tons of wildlife, kids area, adults area… the real northwest getaway!
