Such a cute little shop! Stopped in here after lunch so I wasn’t too hungry. To my surprise, they offer half scoops! This is the PERFECT amount for someone who has had a large meal but still wants a little treat. They even had a cute little topping bar that for 99¢ more, you can sprinkle your own toppings on. The woman who greeted and served us(most likely the owner) was so friendly. If you eat here: GETTHELAVENDERICECREAM

This place was so sweet and charming! And the customer service was awesome! I was that annoying customer that wanted to taste everything because they were all so unique and they were super nice about it! Every type of ice cream and there was so good! No exaggeration!

Had such a wonderful experience at Clever Cow Creamery! April, the owner, was such a delight to meet. And she created this gorgeous affogato(shot of espresso with a scoop of ice cream in it). Absolutely delicious. Will be back here daily! Local, wholesome, and tasty.

The woman who greeted us(I assume the owner) was super pleasant and offered us multiple tastings – always part of the fun. Ultimately, I went for a split scoop with the Blueberry and Salty«Ditch» ice creams. I would’ve liked a bit more salt in the latter, but the first option was divine. I love that the berries are sourced from local purveyors in Washington. If I find myself back on Orcas I would definitely stop in for a scoop again.

We stopped into town to wander the shops a little. And afterwards we got a hankering for some ice cream. We popped into this cute lil shop in the middle of town, and it satisfied our sweet tooth! i got a coffee toffee chunk ice cream in a waffle cone for $ 6, so a lil pricey, but it was so good! I love coffee ice cream and with toffee chunks in it, it was perfection! My friend got a sorbet and loved it as well. Friendly service!

The woman who manages(owns?) the place was wonderful and personable. The ice cream/espresso is delish, and it’s complemented by the lovely, environmentally-conscious town. Please stop in and have a waffle cone and please be friendly while visiting the island.

If you are looking for a great place to stop for ice cream, this is your place! Super cute inside, not overly crowded when I went(Thursday afternoon), and the owner was patient and friendly with the large group I went with. The raspberry ice cream I had was delicious, and my friend had a cherry ice cream which was also wonderful. Perfect place to chat, people watch, and enjoy the town. Highly recommended, I will be back!

Great place to get a quick bite to eat and a coffee. We split a chili and ham/tomato/cheese which were SO good, and then stopped back post-hike for a dessert coffee and ice cream. So yummy!

Great lunch here. We enjoyed three types of soup and got them to go. Bought awesome panini grilled sandwiches just across the street at the Orcas Food Co-op from their deli. Also, bought giant cookies out of the glass jars in their deli. Local guy bakes them. Delish! Then took it back to our cabin where we enjoyed our beachside view on a winter day. Came back into town later and stopped by Clever Cow for ice cream with their homemade waffle cones. Yum!

Fantastic lunch! Homemade soups and grilled sandwiches. The ice cream is made on a local island. The manager is super helpful and has the ingredient list which is very nice if you have allergies you need to double check on before ordering. The waffle cones are made right there in the shop and the smell is intoxicating. One of the best ice cream shops, with LOCALLY made items, we’ve ever had the pleasure of eating at!

Spent the summer(they opened June 1st) testing the product, and found lots to love. They care about the product, even if something I like one week isn’t available the next, there’s plenty to try out. The long lines from the summer are gone, and the interior is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Now it’s Fall, and those clever folks expanded into a line of soups. The tomato-basil-gorgonzola is a keeper, just missing it’s cornbread or baguette to accompany. Of course, there is the grilled cheese, so we’re thrilled, and pleased!

Not bad but not amazing either. I do have to say that I’m kind of an ice cream snob, although the ice cream was a nice treat on a hot day. They ran out of waffle cones shortly before I ordered(bummer) so I had to get a cup. There was a long line so I ended up ordering vanilla without tasting any flavors first. It was a little flat in flavor(no speckles of vanilla bean) and the texture was mostly creamy, with a couple small ice crystals. I tried my boyfriend’s strawberry and liked it much better. Will probably come back in the future and sample flavors before I order.

Really excellent ice cream and surprisingly delicious sugar cones. My husband ordered the Olga Strawberry, which we agreed was even better than Tillamook, and I ordered the Turtleback Truffle, which was very creamy and chocolatey. The prices are on the high side, which is generally to be expected from a local business in a tourist-heavy location, but their product is high quality.

The ice cream is good here, but not unique. Just because you have a funny name for chocolate, doesn’t mean you came up with a new flavor. The waffle guy is friendly. Root beer floats are extremely overpriced, but the ice cream is decently priced.

Charged me $ 6 for a kids scoop with waffle cone because supposedly you can’t get a kids scoop in a waffle cone… AFTERTHEYGAVEME A KIDSSCOOPIN A WAFFLECONE. Uh ok, I think it’s possible. Offered to give me a regular scoop of ice cream(what they charged me for), but unless they want me to have a lactose explosion in their store, I don’t want it. Either the scoopers need to know the store policies better or they should have charged me for exactly what I got, which should have been $ 4. Ice cream was good; I got the road repair(chocolate ice cream with walnuts and marshmallows). Service was very slow, but I chalk that up to being new. Maybe they can figure out the whole customer service thing with time.

So slow. 4 people working here and only one guy serving ice cream with a line out the door. Took us 20 minutes to serve us. The owner is stacking cones when theres already like 100 cones on the counter. Another guy is outside wiping chairs and the cashier is just leaning on the counter while 1 guys serves 20 people in line. On a positive note the ice cream was great but after all that and not feeling like they cared i didnt want it anymore. Need to organize or train better because it seemed like no on knew what they were doing.

This creamery had just opened when my friends and I visited a couple of weekends ago. Our timing could not have been more perfect! We got there right when it opened and there was no line. We were able to taste samples of the ice cream, which was great because it was so hard to choose between all the amazing flavors! I ended up getting the chocolate peanut butter and it was out of this world! SO creamy and delicious. The flavors were fabulous and the ice cream was extra cold, which was awesome on a warm, sunny day. The staff was very friendly and nice and the prices were fair. If I lived on Orcas, I’d be back ASAP! Instead, I will have to await my next visit…

Yummy treat on a warm day post kayaking adventure. Service was great– super friendly and gives you the option to do 2 half scoops because I guarantee it will be hard to choose your flavor. No imports here, nothing but real homemade flavor. From blueberry to cherry pie. Waffle cones are fragile but very fresh. Just opened this last week so hoping these guys make it because we would easily stop again.

Fresh, clean ice cream shop just opened 3 days ago. The owner is so kind and they even have a half-scoop of gourmet ice cream for $ 2! Amazing flavors are worth the trip.

Great service and Great ice cream!!! Glad to have stumbled upon this new business. I can’t wait until my next visit to Orcas Island so I can try more flavors. I indulged in a cone with chocolate chocolate chip and vanilla chocolate chip ice cream. YUM! And then came back for more… Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone. ;-)
