Be still my heart! I absolutely love this place! The quinoa cakes stuffed with goat cheese with sweet potatoes mashed with chills are incredible! Listed as an appetizer, it is plenty big enough for a meal. The kale enchiladas are excellent! Perfectly cooked. You get the joy of eating an enchilada with the amazing goodness of kale. Margaritas are great. I had the Paloma and the spicy chili margarita. The waitress was great at helping me decide what would be to my liking. Try this place when you’re on Orcas Island. Just be warned. The locals LOVE it. It is packed out, even in the winter when the population plummets. If you want a table I would highly recommend a reservation.

Our party of six had made reservations. Glad we did! Nice ambiance. Great prawn tacos and chicken enchiladas. The margaritas were fantastic — even as cold as it was on the winter night we were there. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. We will be back!

Freaking dump. Don’t wast your time. Hours are not correct on Unilocal and staff are extremely rude.

Really cool atmosphere and really great food. I got the fish tacos and they were some of the best I’ve eaten.

Nice ambiance. We were seated before our reservation time. Carne Asada was good but not the typical Mexican restaurant style. Kids were please with the enchiladas which were pretty standard. My lady had the prawn tacos which I thought were the best dish we ordered! Three tacos with a prawn a piece with fresh veg and a nice aioli. We had nice prompt service even though the restaurant was full and they kept the chips coming. We enjoyed everything very much! The one complaint I have is that whoever was in charge of the refried beans scorched them, not horrible but we could definitely tell the had been burned. I am a chef and I would return.

We stumbled on this place after plans A-F were full. We weren’t looking for Mexican, because, why would you get Mexican food on Orcas island? We are glad we came. The ambiance was fun and the food was fresh with some nontraditional recipes.

Majitas was one of the best places we ate on Orcas Island. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and sat right away out on the patio. We started out with drinks, chips and salsa(included), and we added guacamole, which was incredible. Salsa was also tasty, definitely falls into the medium to hot spiciness zone. My wife had the blackberry margarita which was amazing! They use no mixers and instead use fresh squeezed juice! For dinner, I enjoyed the tacos al pastor and my wife had the chopped salad. Both full of taste and very satisfying Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great dinner or a fantastic margarita

Not an authentic Mexican place, but still good nonetheless. + nice ambiance + good mojitos — slow service

The lunch atmosphere was nice. The tacos and burro were wildly overpriced for being extraordinarily average. We waited a long time for our expensive food because the dishes were waiting on raw cabbage. Despite waiting a long time for the cabbage, the slaw was not slaw. It was cabbage. For a self serve lunch, the prices should have really been lower, or quality should have been much higher. I would consider coming again if the prices didn’t suggest a 5 star taco.

Can’t miss Mexican food on Orcas Island. Food and drinks don’t miss. Crab guac and enchiladas are amazing! Carne Asada is also the best around. Family owned and staffed, just a wonderful place to dine on Orcas.

The place is so good, it’s unreal. I wish there was a place like this near Seattle, but, even if there was, it wouldn’t have the charming island feel that this place has. We sat outside on a warm, sunny evening. It was just perfect. It’s so quiet in their exterior space that feels like a private, secluded spot away from it all. It would be a perfect date spot, but was just as perfect for our small girls weekend group. There are lights strung up all around and the tables and décor are really nice. It was a comfortable, relaxed, and beautiful space. The food is amazing. Hands down some of the best Mexican I have ever had. They incorporate lots of seafood into their dishes, which is amazing, and they have plenty of good ol’ standards as well. We started off with their chips and salsa and the salsa was incredibly good. I don’t know if they make it in house, but I have been dreaming of that salsa ever since we ate there. For my entrée, I went with that night’s special, the Dungeness Crab Enchiladas. They were phenomenal. Stuffed with so much crab and covered in the most delicious sauce of all time. SOGOOD. The beans and rice that came with the meal were also really good. Often times it seems like those items are just an aside at a Mexican restaurant, but here they were perfectly cooked and very flavorful. I also had a bite of a friend’s chile rellano and it was insanely tasty. Our waiter was super friendly and the timing of all the dishes came out perfectly. Prices were a little high on a few items(particularly my enchiladas), but it was worth it for the amazing food. I wish I could go back to this restaurant right now because it was so incredible. I loved it and HIGHLYHIGHLY recommend it!

Waited over ten minutes to be seated and helped. We were just ignored then told by a gentleman he would be right with us. Then another couple came in after us and the same man who said he would be right with us helped then first IMMEDIATELY, came back and we were then told we would have to wait another 10 – 15 minutes for a table. Not looking forward to this meal but there is nowhere else to eat and fortunately my boyfriend is a sweetie because I am feeling discriminated against and sad about staying here. Update — boyfriend found another restaurant that will treat us like we are customers and won’t ignore us. Yeah! Leaving!!! Went to an establishment where we were served immediately! New Leaf Café rocks!

Top 5 margaritas on my list(which is A LOT of margaritas! Tried original, blackberry, and coconut, all superb) also loved the dungeness crab guac, mole short ribs, and spicy fish taco. Very surprised how great everything was, service was perfect, too! …oh wait, what about dessert you ask? Cinnamon ice cream inside a fried dough special was TODIEFOR(or worth gaining another set of love handles). #MicDrop

A+++++ 5) The braised short ribs I can’t get out of my mind. A++++ 6) Have I mentioned the braised short ribs. 7) Come here… Serious… Come here.

Seriously the BESTFOOD and customer service I have had for as long back as I can remember. Every single bite was amazing. Loved my Cocorita(margarita), loved their house salsa. LOVEDLOVED the pastor tacos. Even their rice was delicious. Nothing bland here. Our waiter used to live in Mexico City and he says it’s still the best Mexican food he’s ever had. The owner is the head chef. Our waiter was so awesome with our kids. Loved that their kids meal came with ice cream so that finally by the end of their meals we got to ours. And they have a small outdoor kids play area with a swing for wild toddlers to run their crazies off at. Glad we came across this gem.

Came here for dinner on an offseason weeknight, and stood around watching the staff walked by us, meet our eyes, and keep walking. One man finally stopped and said he would be right with us then kept working and passing by us multiple times while they were many tables open. Another staff member walked by and said somebody would be with us soon. The original guy came back and asked us if we had reservations, we said no and asked him if we could have one of the many empty tables. He looked at them looked at us and said no those would not be available and said he would work on clearing a different table for us. Again he continued working, clearly unfriendly and uninterested in having us as a customer. This place has an incredibly expensive menu for a beach town, and with that we expect service to be stellar. We did not wait around for this guy to finally decided he wanted to seat us or not.

Delicious, fresh chips and salsa, refreshing grapefruit margarita and guacamole, plus super tasty fish tacos with spicy green sauce! Be sure to snag a table outside during the warm summer evenings. It is a bit pricy, but most everything is on Orcas. Our food came out pretty quickly, and our waiter was both helpful and friendly. I’d be happy to return for another yummy dinner outside the next time I get to visit Orcas.

Best little tiny Mexican restaurant on Orcas Island! I loved their carne asada so much we went a second night to eat there! haha! Nicest staff ever, and street parking was available. This restaurant is SO small, but oh so cozy! Has that«little town» appeal.
