Grand View Hospital Pbx

This place on one hand does a good job of specialty care, but the other hand (treatment of patients…) sucks. I was in there for a work related accident. If it wasn’t for my wife being at my bedside ²⁴⁄₇ more then half of the calls for (needed help) would have left me in dire pain. Three times the food service took my food without asking if I was done, I ALWAYS had to rely on my wife to assist me to the rest room. Half the time when I pressed the call button, it took over 15 minutes before a nurse came in and helped. (even in the middle of the damn night).
My doctor was awesome, and some of the residents were ok, but one thing I found sad is — the doctor order ‘leaches’ to help try to save my crushed finger and a dietitian had to come in and put them on my finger — NONE of the nurses would do it.
As for the birthing center (and this was 18 years ago), they did good, but who knows now how they are. If it wasn’t for my doctor, they would get one less star…
